  • For Sale:
A second generation Group A 635 CSI, this car was raced for BMW Italia by the illustrious Team Eggenberger in the 1984 FIA European Touring Car Championship. Shared by Gianfranco Brancatelli and Helmut Kelleners, the car placed fourth overall in the 1984 championship, with a podium at Monza and two victories at the Nürburgring and Silverstone respectively (please note the mistake in the video where I mention "4 wins"... it should be 2 wins, my apologies). The latter win earned the car one of the most prestigious awards in motorsport: The RAC Tourist Trophy.
I’ve had an enormous amount of fun racing and developing this car over the past couple of seasons and, based on recent results in Peter Auto’s Heritage Touring Cup, we can safely say it is the fastest BMW 635 CSi on the grid. A hoot to drive, competitive even against 3.0 CSL Batmobiles (particularly in the wet) this has also been a fantastic tool for driver development. The large cabin fits drivers of all sizes and allows two of us to sit comfortably side by side in safety. Progressive and manageable thanks to the long wheelbase, this ‘drift-machine’ is suitable even for relative novices seeking their first 'slicks' experience. Available now, RA2-40 comes immaculately prepared and ready to race. It’s just cool isn’t it...!
