I noticed many comments about use of English here. I think the reason Mr. Mani Ratnam keeps switching between English & Thamizh is that he is used to conversing with Baradwaj Rangan in English. I have seen other interactions where he speaks in Thamizh without any problems. The hosts must also make the effort to hold conversations in our language.

I watched the whole movie...very long shots...wafer thin story...actuallya line story...need a lot of patience to watch it. Mostly you will be watching the main actor's back while walking.

There aren't many movies in Tamil on this topic because Indian rulers don't like it. A movie on Dhileepan faced so many obstacles and was stopped. Methagu barely got released on an obscure OTT. If Tamil Nadu ever became free, we can expect honest movies. Until then, only Indian propaganda will be made as movies.
