I towed up on that bench before the first house was built. Now you’ve got a City on the bench.

I came out here to Point of the Mountain, just after I learned to launch and land very well. Here is an amazing place to soar. Now I got good at soaring. Still only starting the long journey to get better at thermalling, to fly for miles like a bird! Best wishes. Let me know when you learn the basics. Stop by. Lets fly!

Paul Shorey, i bet you here about pauly shore alot LOL. I would love to fly with ya buddy. I have some of it down, just aero towing over the desert here in arizona. But im going to have a guy name damion mitchell teach me foot launch up there, do you know him, and who taught you? I need to meet some people up there and find a place to store my wing. My buddy doesn’t have the room at his place.

Does anyone know the Torres family in Salt Lake? I know one Torres who used to teach hang gliding there.

Your voice sounds so clear. Are you using a digital audio recorder or something better?

Nope. Just a Gopro - mounted to the front of the chin-guard on my Charlie No Limit helmet. I drilled a quarter inch hole in the front of the chin guard, then got one of those Gopro tripod adapters and a quarter inch bolt/washer, and stuck it through.

I guessed right on the chin guard mount Paul. Try some kind of wind sock to reduce the wind noise. I have a dedicated Alinco radio for my GoPro mounted on the keel tail area. I used U-Haul dish packing foam sheets to make a fairing for the GoPro. Listeners can hear both sides of the radio conversations. (but alas I have to transmit on my harness radio to narrate.)
Years ago I towed up on that bench road before the first house was built. Now there’s a whole town.
