My grandparents used to live next door to a couple that had a lot of Christmas trees. They had like 40-50 in their relatively small house. They took me on the “tour” once. They had one in each bathroom, some literally UPSIDE DOWN hanging from the ceiling. And they were all themed.

This all might just be some form of OCD.
I got the same impression, especially the fact that she starts taking them down exactly the day after Christmas. It's clearly a manifestation of OCD. If you just loved trees you would have them in your house year round. She has an insane, exact schedule for her trees and is mapping out the distance between them and calculating number of lights and shit. Kind of sad really, she needs treatment
@@imsorryrumham7686 You seem to just have a problem with the fact that I wrote "pretty sure". I was not trying to offend anyone, as I have OCD myself (diagnosed by a specialist), but I do think that if she chalks it up to mental illness, that the proper response would be to get help, not say that it's okay because it's mental illness. Illnesses need treatment, physical or mental. I only wrote "pretty sure" because from what I've learned from specialists and in studying for my PhD, she displays many symptoms, but I didn't write "definitely has" because I am not her therapist. She seems to obsessively think about Christmas trees and compulsively buy more trees and decorations and even obsesses over every last detail of their decoration. Now, like I said, I can't be sure that's OCD, but it seems likely that this could be a form. I know that OCD can range from a variety of behaviors (from checking a few times to make sure that the door is locked, to germophobia, to just ritualistic behavior). I do think she she may need some form of help no matter what if her obsession with Christmas trees could have a negative impact on aspects of life (like her money, time and relationships). But if the words "pretty sure" really offended you that much, I can change the wording for you if it really offends you like that. In fact, the only reason I brought mental illness into this at all is because I feel like many people being made fun of on the internet like her do just have a mental illness, so when people watch videos like this and laugh, they may be laughing at a mentally ill person.
Im actually not entirely sure if this ocd, usually ocd includes unwelcome thoughts, images, urges, worries, and doubts. Ocd makes you uncomfortable and usually derives from a fear of something, like germs or harm. For example my mums ocd; she is worried every night that harm can come to us over the smallest thing, needs everthing to be turned off, needs all the windows to be closed, if one of us walk by the stove at night shell have to wakeup and check, but will do this constantly untill she gets a peace of mind etc because of the fear and worry. My ocd overlapped with my mums, where i cant sleep unless i know every window and door is locked and will constantly check even if i know its closed, because of the fear of someone coming into my house. I now have intrusive thoughts etc. And as i said, ocd feeds on the things you dont like or dont want to happen. I think she has obsessive behaviour, but unless this is a way of coping with her ocd, im not entirely sure she has ocd, since ocd is about having no controll over your thoughts.
I believe shes a hoarder, especially with her backstory of emotional attatchment to trees because of her family, as she keeps collecting these trees, creating emotional significance to them and isnt getting rid of any even when its affecting hers and the lifes around her

the thing that disturbed me the most about this was the fact i couldnt tell the mother and daughter apart at several moments... also the way the mother kept correcting and interrupting her daughter made me really uncomfortable.
