Yes, exactly that is the reason why I managed to find all of the alternate routes myself. And you know what? It was hilarious seeing Shuichi come up with these lies, I loved it!
Here's my opinion regarding the achievements: Monomi's minigame and tomagochi pet in DR2 were the most useless things, they are only needed to get the achievements, which is sooo annoying. They do not bring anything new to the table, they're just kinda there. Even though V3's achievements are hard, like Monolith Mining thingy, the minigame of the said achievement actually makes sense, it's an arcade in the casino. And casino is used to buy skills, Monopad themes, resents, and dating tickets & the energy drink that increases the daytime for the bonus mode. Also, the arcades in the casino train the player how to play trial mini games. Because of that, I think that V3's achievements are slightly more justifiable.
Honestly, I like the Tamagotchi; the achievement for it is a kinda bad, because once you've finished the story, you have to actively grind those out; i.e. you need to hold right and walk in a circle, checking on it to make sure it doesn't die. But it's pretty useful in the beginning if you wanna get all the bonus scenes; you get a healthy amount of monocoins for a bit of walking, and then you don't need to worry about going back to pick up missed events. (we did end up having to go back anyway, because we missed a couple flags, but that's besides the point). The Monomi minigame however... there shouldn't be a luck based achievement attached to a bad minigame. I tried going for it at one point; the drop rate is so low and you can always get duplicates, so that's even more grinding. Even if you're good at it, it takes to long to kill a basic enemy; levels can last like 10 minutes. I do really like the inclusion of the minigames in the casino, but I really wish they didn't unlock one at a time per chapter. The best way to get the love hotel keys is to grind up on the racing game, but that doesn't unlock until after chapter 4, I think, so almost everyone is already dead. So to get the most love hotel scenes you can during the actual game, you either have to grind enough on the best minigame available to tide you over until next chapter, or, do what I did, and slam out all the coins in the slots asap, which takes ages
I am proud of not be just part of that 1,5% (which I got legitimately), but part of the 0,7% that got all achivements (I have a total of 137 hours). The only thing I didn't do was beat the Death Road of Dispair without the Electrohammers, but fortunatly there isn't an achievement for that.
Funny story about this actually... In the first class trial I didn’t understand the directions to the “Mind Mine” minigame. I didn’t know you could click on the pictures/clues regardless if there was still blocks on the screen. So I literally spent hours on it, redoing the minigame, clearing out every.single.BLOCK on screen to try and progress in the class trial. Yep, I was dumb enough to think V3 would actually be THAT hard and didn’t think “hey, maybe I should just try clicking on the clue regardless if there are still blocks here.” So, needless to say, I cleared the impossible achievement on “Mind Mine” instead of the actual Casino game on accident.

You‘ll Never Know If You Don‘t Go is actually feasible without a guide because every time you can lie, the Perjury theme plays during the non-stop debate and then you at least know in which debate to use the lie bullets. Then you only have to figure out which bullet you have to use which is alright and still let’s you skip the rest of the trial. The only exception is at one point in the third trial, when you have to use the bullet Cage Dog Village which was hard to figure out since it didn’t really have anything to do with the topic. I also looked for the back routes while farming, so it wasn’t that time consuming. So combining trophies made it comfortable to go on.
..... What monolithic pain in the ass, I feel for you and everyone who had to complete this, and I agree, they probably just thought "let's do this achievement like the others, S rank on Mean" but they forgot how much of a pain this minigame is.....
Monokuma's dungeon can be done pretty easily if you follow a guide for it. The bosses can get pretty formulaic so with the right strategy, they become a cinch. It's just kind of a hassle to go back to the development plan to build characters in very specific ways and ensure they get high level enough. Granted, it is recommended to use characters that have U cards AND whose partners have U cards as well for the boss battles within the development plan. Though with your playtime, I guess you already have U cards for all characters. The monolith achievement is something I would never attempt in lightyears.
Whoa I never knew there are actually alternate routes in Danganronpa V3 Class Trials, though I'm guessing this doesn't change the outcome of the trail. Did the game ever hint at this? I don't remember if the game gave a small hint about alternate routes. okay then better turn back on Danganronpa V3 and look up a guide for these alternate routes
All I know is that in a debate, you could either tell the truth or lie, and the lie would be the alternate route. But I never wanted to do those cuz lying made me anxious.
It soooorta does hint on this by saying something like "If you are a good liar you can access something called a "back route" ". There is also a specific track playing during a non stop debate when a lie is available but there is a low chance you realize this during playing.
Yeah, lying at certain points will give you a neat lil back route with some unique dialogue but it doesn't change the outcome of the class trial in the end
I am very proud that i got the achievement: You’ll Never Know If You Don’t Go. (Plus for True Discipline Come From Within is pretty easy, (if you have PS4) Put a rubber band around your joysticks and you can just AFK till you get to level 99, but i can see the argument of: AFKing isn’t fun i want to play the game. Yeah that’s fair but i personally don’t really mind it... but the Monolith game... oh god the Monolith achievement... that one achievement that i dread so much...)
I honestly don't remember getting the all gallery items and getting to level 99 being that difficult, but that said, I got the hit objects 1000 times achievement in the first chapter due to being incredibly obsessive, so what do I know
You know, before watching this video, I was kinda interested in 100%ing V3. But then I saw this video and now if I want to actually do this, it will be a long and I do mean LONG term project
I remember hearing you talk about the grinding for the achievements and yep it’s very annoying. I just got v3 but I’m trying to do the "Monokuma Wrangler" and it’s very hard and annoying. Edit: forgot about this one but I’m also doing "True Discipline Come From Within" and I agree with everything you said Edit 2: AAAAA I GOT S-RANK IN MONOLITHIC!!!!! ( it wasn’t on hard mode so I didn’t get the achievement )
"It'll take 8-9 hours to complete this mode" Well, lucky for me, I already play Danganronpa for 8-9 hours a day 😌👊 (obviously not everyday, but like once or twice a week)
The Monolithic achievement is the only thing in my way of that platinum trophy, I've played that minigame so much that I can hear the music in my sleep.
Ok so I made a guide about completing these bullshit achievements I hope this helps: V3 Complete (Unlock the entire gallery): Complete Maki's freetime events she will give you the ability to double the monocoins you get in a class trial it should take 2 time of going through the trial to get 999 monocoins (I recommend doing the first trial since it's the shortest) Masterful Development (Complete talent development plan with every student): Use the small dice all the time to shorten the squares moved and to not get to the finish line so that you don't have to fight. You'll never know if you don't go (Take the alternative route in all the class trials): Use a guide while skipping through the trial. True discipline come from within (Achieve maximum level): Just do the investigation for Ch.1 over and over since it's the shortest. Overcoming true fear (Defeat the hidden boss in Despair dungeon): Use guide or use the team I use which was Sakura as an attacker, If you max out the luck on Nagito, Makoto, or Rantaro they will always hit critically which multiples the damage by two(both should have the skill zeal at LV 10) and for healers I recommend Fuyuhiko and Hagakure I reccomend having one with a high fortitude, the skill cure condition, and wind barrier at LV 10 and the other one having Recover influence, Fighting spirit, and Wind barrier all at LV 10. Monolithic achievement ( Achieve S rank on mean difficulty in treasure hunter): Bet it on luck or cheat. I hope this guide helped anyone struggling on the bullshit achievements.
How tf do you cheat for the monolith game? I really don’t wanna, but this games so hard that I feel I gotta resort to such. I bet if Makoto, Chiaki, or Nagito tried this game tho..immediate success 🙄😩
@@drewfroststorm3919 Get the game on steam, because through the PC you can download a program to alter it so it gives you the trophy instantly I reccomend searching a guide to do.
I recently found out that you can actually know when to use back route, the song in the nonstop debate is a little different, it still takes a lot of time, but knowing about the music helps a little
How did this even get into my recommendations. I don't even associate at all with Dang It Grandpa. Yet this was still a surprisingly solid video. Odd how much extra stuff there is on top of the killing game investigation most come into the series from, but it's cool they got these achievements in here for that extra stuff for those diehard fans/completionists out there. Would love to like the video but I don't want the algorithms to get the wrong idea.
I spent hours getting the monolith achievement out of spite for that minigame (even though it was really fun). I think I had several motives that pushed me forward to get it, so I regret nothing :) It didn't take as long as I expected, either, luckily, so all in all, it was a total win! I didn't realize that there was all of this notoriety around it, though.
I got the Monolith achievement after hours of playing for fun, but that UDTP looks terrifying to complete. I want to, but there's just so much damn content
I will forever be grateful that I got the Monolithic Achievement in under an hour, holy crap I could never imagine doing that for hours upon hours, I'd tear my nerves out tbh
I remember trying this for days before I got it. I ended up having to use the program online to help me map out future moves after trying for so many hours. The amount of times I was so close only to discover that a random block covering a insignificant portion of a fish istg. Truly, I felt DESPAIR
The best way to beat the Monokuma boss is to run curse and poison. Poison does a lot of damage if you could land it, and curse stops him from using confuse. Once I started running those I beat him pretty quickly.
V3’s achievements absolutely broke me. I spent a few weeks grinding Monolith, and it was aggravating. Whether I tried to be strategic or randomly chipped at the board, I seemed to get the same results. Then once I was dead inside from that, I went through Despair Dungeon and it was a totally reasonable dungeon crawler (though it felt out of place) until that final boss. It just kept bulldozing my team until I managed to “build” (again, through blind chance instead of strategy) decent luck based Rantaro and Naegi and basically crossed my fingers hoping it wouldn’t inflict them with confusion and TPK me. And then I realised I still had 80% of the characters to take through the endless grind of the talent plan and I begged for the sweet release of death.
i got the monolithic achievement pretty easy - i used the monolith casino game on normal difficulty to get coins for gifts and such, so i was already pretty good at it. then i just had to sit down, put on some music, and keep playing until the RNG gods gave me a good board (i currently have about 120 hours in the game and 35 of the 41 achievements)
Never before has a video appealed to such an specific thing for me. But yeah, everything you said is true. I platinumed all of the Danganronpa games like maybe 2 years ago, but this bastard of an achievement escaped me for the longest time. I swear I tried on multiple sittings for hours and I couldn't get it, I must've tried at least 50 times. Then a month or so ago I tried again and at the second try I got it. It's just bullshit. A ridiculous amount of luck, plus the skill needed to actually use that luck correctly so you get the S rank. So now I have all of the platinum trophies for Danganronpa, but I still need to beat the Death Road of Despair, I got to the last moving platforms part, but the second one is the farthest I've gotten. Thank you for talking about this topic, I enjoyed the video! (Also, just wanted to brag about being of the 1.5% who currently have this achievement XD)
I'm currently sitting at 101 hours poured into Danganronpa V3 and the only achievement I'm missing right now is Masterful Development. I didn't even struggle too much with the MONOLITH game, which took me around 30 minutes of careful play to S-rank on Hard (perhaps I was just lucky, though I've played this kind of game when I was much younger). Defeating the final boss in the Monokuma's Test wasn't tough either, as I developed my team with one support class and 3 power classes, one of which (Ultimate Sakura Ogami) was able to dish out about 16 thousand damage every turn (using LVL 10 Falcon Kick with power equipment), which allowed me to sweep literally every enemy in the game. This dungeon crawler is really easy if you invest in powerful characters and know how to develop them with high strength and agility (must display 999 at least, preferably higher strength).
The monolithic achievement was a pain in the ass it took days for me to complete it. Trying to get the monocubs and the fossils in the minigame in order to have a higher score was just really difficult.
In two weeks it will have been 3 years since I 100% completed DRV3. I'd actually mostly forgotten the pain of all those awful minigames... My brain had completely blocked out that treasure hunting one. I was actually considering deleting all my data and doing every game in the series from scratch again, but this video has reminded me why that is a terrible idea, thank you.
my one friend told me that she would buy 10 things for me no matter the price if I got the monolithic achievement and she laughed at my face when I got so close to getting an S rank :') she was hella nervous when she saw my luck get really good that one time tho-
Fun thing about ‘You’ll never know if you don’t go’ Guides aren’t actually all that necessary. But it caught my attention very fast that if you just simply listen to the music, you’ll know when to lie and when to tell the truth. When you have to tell the truth, Discussion -BREAK- plays When you have the option to lie at any point (Even the ones you are obligated to lie to proceed.) Discussion -PERJURY- plays. I noticed this around chapter 2 and had some fun discovering the routes.
Ah, it must be for those who can actually see where they need to go and not playing at a distance on the ps4 during 3am...I'm really bad at the casino games.
on PS4 Monolithic Achievement has higher completion (7% I think). For level 99 I got it via Outlaw Run. I almost always AAA or S rank it so was grinding casino coins and one hour or so play session unlocked it.
Monokuma's test is by far the most obnoxious. At a certain point it stops being fun and starts being a game of looking up the best strategy to survive it, and it's not even that far into the game that it gets like that
The 28.5 hour V3 all achievements speedrun has a great moment where the runner gets the Treasure Hunter Monolith achievement on, like, his first try. Also MMGM's drop table is not too difficult to understand and there are fairly easy to find resources out there now that can significant reduce a casual player's playtime significantly. My unuploaded PB for all items is 1h06m
I completed all the achievements of previus games, but thanks to the ones of the casino I couldn't complete the ones from V3 and that haunts me until this very day
For some reason the fishing casino game was more difficult to me than treasure hunter was, so I ended up simply clearing out the largest chains of blocks first on treasure hunter, continuing the process until I got close, and then resetting until I got good luck. Took me about an hour and a half overall.
For True Discipline Comes From Within, since I played on console, I sought to get that one first. I grabbed a hair tie, tied my joysticks a certain way, and taped down the button mapped to sprinting. This had Kaede running around in a circle continuously. After that, I went to bed. When I woke up the next morning, I had gotten Kaede from level 1 to like level 90-something.
I wish they made clearing dispair road without electro hammers an achievement instead of just an unlockable design. I am sure there would be only 0.5% of players that beat it. I certainly gave up on that one
As an aside, I had to S-rank on the PS4 and I ended up doing it in under ~3 minutes. It's really just about getting good RNG; sometimes, even if you play what you have really wisely, you won't be able to S-rank because of what the game randomly generated. If anything, as someone with vision impairments, I feel like I will never S-rank Salmon Fishing.
8:22 ok a little late but Monolith is like one of the classroom trial mini games. I forgot what it’s called but just treat it like that and you’ll be able to get close to S
And here I've got 100% within the first few weeks, it would have been done sooner if not for the masterful development achievement sucking the soul out of my body.
It’s actually pretty easy to figure out the alternate routes. Whenever one comes up an alternate track plays for the background music and it has lyrics whereas the normal music doesn’t

They explained it in the chapter 1 trial, and there's a sound indicator when you can lie but the game doesn't mention that
that's kinda cool, i thought you _had_ to lie.
Why do you need a PS4 for that? Couldn't you do it with any other system the game's on?
@@TaijituTaikyokuzu because the ps4 is a controller and the pc is a keyboard?
@@power5650 You do know you can use a controller on a PC, right?
I honestly don't remember getting the all gallery items and getting to level 99 being that difficult, but that said, I got the hit objects 1000 times achievement in the first chapter due to being incredibly obsessive, so what do I know
8:20 "threw this one under the burger king." ur rlly tryna make this a full-fledged MEME.
You know, before watching this video, I was kinda interested in 100%ing V3. But then I saw this video and now if I want to actually do this, it will be a long and I do mean LONG term project
The fact that i got the monolithic achievement from really good rng makes me feel tingly inside 😊
I remember hearing you talk about the grinding for the achievements and yep it’s very annoying. I just got v3 but I’m trying to do the "Monokuma Wrangler" and it’s very hard and annoying.
Edit: forgot about this one but I’m also doing "True Discipline Come From Within" and I agree with everything you said
Edit 2: AAAAA I GOT S-RANK IN MONOLITHIC!!!!! ( it wasn’t on hard mode so I didn’t get the achievement )
I don’t know how, but somehow my brother got the “You’ll Never Know If You Don’t Go” achievement on accident on his first run of V3
"It'll take 8-9 hours to complete this mode"
Well, lucky for me, I already play Danganronpa for 8-9 hours a day 😌👊 (obviously not everyday, but like once or twice a week)
me but
i do play every day
Took me about 2 hours to get this achievement, Was super satisfying after I beat it.
I like how there's an all star reference in the acheivments
This video just reminded me of how much pain and suffering I went through to get The platinum trophy for danganronpa v3
The Monolithic achievement is the only thing in my way of that platinum trophy, I've played that minigame so much that I can hear the music in my sleep.
If chuggaconroy ever played Danganronpa V3 I bet he would get monolithic achievement while saying he's no good at this minigame
"There's 53 playable characters in this mode!"
:0 Wait- 53? What a coincidence!
Ok so I made a guide about completing these bullshit achievements I hope this helps:
V3 Complete (Unlock the entire gallery): Complete Maki's freetime events she will give you the ability to double the monocoins you get in a class trial it should take 2 time of going through the trial to get 999 monocoins (I recommend doing the first trial since it's the shortest)
Masterful Development (Complete talent development plan with every student): Use the small dice all the time to shorten the squares moved and to not get to the finish line so that you don't have to fight.
Mandy: It's impossible!
Nagito and Makoto: *what do you mean?*
I wonder how long it would take to do the 100% Speed Run catagory for V3
First category that factors in sleep schedules.
They just did the "You want a challenge? Here's a challenge"
People who shiny hunt: “Wanna see me get the monolith achievement?”
I recently found out that you can actually know when to use back route, the song in the nonstop debate is a little different, it still takes a lot of time, but knowing about the music helps a little
The All Star lyric theme makes it all worth it

How did this even get into my recommendations.
I don't even associate at all with Dang It Grandpa.
Yet this was still a surprisingly solid video. Odd how much extra stuff there is on top of the killing game investigation most come into the series from, but it's cool they got these achievements in here for that extra stuff for those diehard fans/completionists out there.
Would love to like the video but I don't want the algorithms to get the wrong idea.
It's even more painful because the music that plays during the mini game is a remix of Chiaki's execution music
I just read the video title and get instantly the word "monolith" in my head.... good thing I'm not the only one lol
im suprised you didnt quote himiko
𝑾 𝒉 𝒂 𝒕 𝑨 𝑷 𝒂 𝒊 𝒏✰
Phrases that you can hear when you read them
The music changes whenever there is a back route available, so there is a way to figure them out without a guide
I’ve got every single trophy on all daganronpa games I’m ready for next one!
being a completionist hurts in times like these🧎♀️
Oh so that's why I keep seeing you on V3 ahahahdhs but great video Mandy! Keep up to good work
Now imagine if there was achievement for clearing Death route of despair without electro hammers
If I remember there is still a monopad design no?
@@echo6657 not sure
So basically, I have to collect Kokichi's underwear to get this?!
*challenge frickin accepted*
monolith was the FIRST out of the casino games i could obtain an S for on mean mode😭i personally struggled heaps getting it for outlaw run-
I will forever be grateful that I got the Monolithic Achievement in under an hour, holy crap I could never imagine doing that for hours upon hours, I'd tear my nerves out tbh
100 Hours Of Grinding: Me Who Does That Easily: Well About Tha- Edit: I Watched A Bit Of The Video WTF
I thought 'true discipline come from within' was super easy... Then I remember that I would take shuichi on walks through the school to calm down.
THIS GODDAMN ACHIEVEMENT IS RUINING MY SANITY.
DR2 WAS NOTHING AGAINST THIS!!!
The monolithic achievement was a pain in the ass it took days for me to complete it. Trying to get the monocubs and the fossils in the minigame in order to have a higher score was just really difficult.
*instant flashbacks to grinding monolith for 2 hours*
In two weeks it will have been 3 years since I 100% completed DRV3. I'd actually mostly forgotten the pain of all those awful minigames... My brain had completely blocked out that treasure hunting one. I was actually considering deleting all my data and doing every game in the series from scratch again, but this video has reminded me why that is a terrible idea, thank you.
my one friend told me that she would buy 10 things for me no matter the price if I got the monolithic achievement and she laughed at my face when I got so close to getting an S rank :')
she was hella nervous when she saw my luck get really good that one time tho-
lmao i somehow got You'll never know if you dont go on accident in my first playthrough and had no idea what it meant.
me never getting the key of love: 💀
After three weeks of trying, I can proudly say that I have achieved the Monolithic Achievement
lucky you. It took me 3 MONTHS!!....to get it that s rank.
Loving the super monkey ball banana blitz world 6 music in the background at the start.
Fun thing about ‘You’ll never know if you don’t go’
Guides aren’t actually all that necessary. But it caught my attention very fast that if you just simply listen to the music, you’ll know when to lie and when to tell the truth.
When you have to tell the truth, Discussion -BREAK- plays
When you have the option to lie at any point (Even the ones you are obligated to lie to proceed.) Discussion -PERJURY- plays. I noticed this around chapter 2 and had some fun discovering the routes.
I really liked this video so I’m gonna subscribe
You could say to get the monolithic achievement that you need nagito level luck.
i literally have never played danganronpa but the game looks so fascinating and i honestly didn't know there was so much content lol
This is the minigame Lucifer makes you play in hell, and the music drives you insane after a couple hours.
'It'll take 8-9 hours to complete"
Me:I bet i can do it in 2 hours, *Hand me the laptop.*
I feel like most people just play the driving game in the casino
Ah, it must be for those who can actually see where they need to go and not playing at a distance on the ps4 during 3am...I'm really bad at the casino games.
Nobody:
Talent dev plan:
1, 2, V3!
Characters for you and me!
"hundreds of hours"
shows 225 hours of playtime
or maybe i play too much tf2
on PS4 Monolithic Achievement has higher completion (7% I think).
Wow, you actually watched the entire speedrun?
He must have been pretty happy to get the achievement haha.
@@lautael5299 it was a hell of a stream
I completed all the achievements of previus games, but thanks to the ones of the casino I couldn't complete the ones from V3 and that haunts me until this very day
Even monokuma would be stumped.
And he be having dat magic.
Oh hey its a Mand-aca video!
I mean Mandy-nakuma
niceeeeeee
Update: I managed to get it... I wasn’t even trying too hard to get it... It’s all just luck...
Even if I usually have pretty bad luck...
It’s actually pretty easy to figure out the alternate routes. Whenever one comes up an alternate track plays for the background music and it has lyrics whereas the normal music doesn’t
Imagine...danganronpa 100 percent speedrun
mY MaN, i love your vids so much, but there is something that has been bothering me, every video I watch, I have to turn my volume to 100 percent, becuz your voice is pretty low, I hope this can help you for future vids! But still, I love your content , I have watched almost all your danganronpa vids twice XD
Sorry about that, I kinda have to keep it abit low due to my mic not being good quality and it peaking the mic, I am working on getting a new mic soon to help this. Oh also its *my girl :p
@@MandyLovely ah ok! Take your time! 💖💖💖
Now I can't wait to see the video about UTDP. I liked it - it was pretty cute and nice, and everyone is here, alive. It looks a bit lazy, but still - have you ever wanted to see some really unexpected character crossovers? Rantaro and Yasuhiro one is the most unexpected.
It took me weeks to get the Monolithic achievements and i only completed by using Cheat Engine.
I remember got “you’ll never know if you don’t go” by don’t even try it
So basically the amount of time it would take to gain all the achievements I could have played Persona 5 three times in a row.
