I was at an airshow here in Oregon a few years ago and saw the F-35 demo. My major takeaway was the RAW power that single F-135 has. The transition from the dirty, high AoA pass to AB climb is INSANE. It just goes up from what seems a standstill and accelerates. Of course this is in the tail end of the demo when fuel is lower but it is still very impressive.
I missed Gunfighter Skies this year. One of my favorite ever fly-by's was at the last one I made it to, an A-1 Skyraider and an A-10 Warthog. I did get to see a T-6 Texan flying low over our town yesterday, though.
I am in the commemorative Air Force and is was SO FUN DOING THIS!!! I had a great time working here, and im glad you had a good time also. Thanks again, and let’s keep ‘em flying!
One day, I'll get to see an air show and see an aircraft in person. Despite my intense love of aircraft, I have never actually been up close or even seen one in person. Never been to an airport, base, show, or museum. All things I wanna do before I get wings of my own. Hopefully, in 2024, I get to see an air show or go to a museum. I wonder what will be my first aircraft?
@PilotPhotog I heard from many of my friends about how much of an amazing experience it is. Especially feeling the power of the jet engines deep in your chest. Thanks, Tog! I hope I get to see one soon as well! Hopefully they do an airshow in Michigan next year.
I've been in the air dodging other aircraft in both fixed and rotar wing near Lake Hood in Anchorage Alaska. But my pucker factor goes through the roof when I see those birds pass each other in extremely close proximity.
@@BoeingAviation747 thank you! Just released a video today on the NGAD and working on the next one about the F-35. Watch them when you can and let me know what you think. Cheers!
Hey dude, I'm wondering if you could make a video on the super Tomcat I really want to know how it breaks down, how to fix it and every perk that comes with flying it. I want to know if you would fly it. I've been subscribed for 2 months now and I love every video. Although I don't always comment on them. I love them and if I don't comment on it it means it was so good or I haven't seen it yet. Anyway, I'm going off track my birthday is in 15 days as of October 31st. My birthday is November 15th 🎆 and I'm wondering if you could post a video breaking down the functionalities and how to fly such an iconic fighter plane. I loved it so much that I literally made a Lego model of it
What is the deal with that 7th Thunderbirds F-16 flying in the display......im well aware they have 2 spare aircraft (nmbrs 7 and 8....both 2 seaters) but i was under the impression they only fly 6 aircraft in the display?
@PilotPhotog bur if you look at the footage there are 6 aircraft flying in formation as per usual and suddenly out of nowhere Thunderbird 7 appears behind them plus thwy dont have spare display pilots
@@jaws848 took these shots the day before the airshow, all the demo aircraft do a practice run, my guess is that they took a VIP up to see the formation up close? That or the Number 7 pilot was getting some real-world practice
no offense but I used to live right by Elkington Field when I worked for NASA. I would go occasionally in the early 2000s. I stopped going because it was the same sow every year. From the looks of this, it looks like very little has changed. If you never have been it's really great but as crazy as it sounds it gets old in my opinion if they do the same show frequently.
None taken, they do alternate the TBirds and Blue Angels, and usually the F-22,A-10, or F-35 demo teams. I’ve been going to air shows since the 70s, it never gets old for me 😎
Being there watching it live must be quite the experience.
It's unreal - and never gets old to me
Phantastic! Thank you for sharing.

You will love it! Aside from the incredible sights, the sounds are unmatched. I hope you can go to an airshow soon.

OHHHH!!! so that’s where some of the 35s here at Eglin went.. surprised they didn’t send the 33 FW flag ships, 5033 and 5133..

I believe that one of the jets wasn't available for the show due to some mechanical issue, so they flew the spare for this routine.
