Main street strikes me as a bit of a traffic sewer. A very ritzy posh traffic sewer (which has its compensations, but still. Have these people ever heard of traffic calming? What's the hurry? You're in the Hamptons, relax.😂😂😂
Heard Hamptons rentals dropped this yr. People now are putting their money on TX, Mexico, and FL. I bet the natives are quite pleased with the quiet ambience 🤫
Seems like a normal Hamptons summer so far. Last year we were very busy but this year seems the norm from a few years ago. The restaurants are still packed so everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. It'll get busier in the next few weeks as the weather warms up. It's still a bit cool here especially at night.
There are actually some parts of the Hamptons that are relatively less expensive. But I would say they are still expensive compared to the rest of Long Island. To get something that's about average for Long Island, it's about an hour away.

All the shops where you can get a $100 tee shirt. This can't be summer because the Newtown lane isn't jammed with traffic.
Early in the summer and on weekdays, it's not too busy there.
