I think it's important to note that there isn't just one NeRF technology/ AI model. There are numerous different variants created by different teams, some focusing on high quality models, some focusing on processing speed.
Hi, thanks! 1. Is is possible to use 2 phones to make videos from 2 different angles and merge the result in 1 3D model? 2. What about not static but moving object? Is it possible to play animation?
Hey, love your videos man! Just got confused here, In the official Kiri site they said they would make an update using a Nerf approach in Jun'23, afaik they did not base any of their code on the latest Neuralangelo paper, besides nvidia only released the code 2 weeks ago, haven't seen any decent works using it yet.
Jack here from the KIRI team 😊 The neuralangelo approach is based on a theory called Neural Surface Reconstruction. Although Neuralangelo just got open sourced a week ago, we’ve been developing the Neural Surface Reconstruction for a while, that’s why we could make this happen so fast. And we realized because Neural Surface Reconstruction or Neuralangelo was quick new to the market, if we use these terms right away people could get really lost, so we decided to market it as a another NeRF technology (in a way, it is another NeRF), but anyhow, its available now ::D feel free to give it a try!
There is zip nerf and should be able to compete with photogrammetry but it is not yet public. What desktop app do you suggest for best 3d model results regardles of speed? Is there anything right now that can compare with best paid photogrammetry softvers in producing high quality 3d textured meshes?
It will be limited by the phone's camera but from what I've seen the quality can be quite good. I think if you have a recent phone you'd probably get similar results.
Nerf* and no nerf isn't the same as photogrammetry. The models produced by a purely nerf based approach are alot worse that photogrammetry . But neuralangelo is promising so who knows

Which one focuses on high quality models? 🤔
I also would like to know that.
Yes which produces high quality meshes
Lenghty video that could focus on real technical comparison and not just mubbling around.
He has to get his product placement in 11 times each video, though.
this guy's ability to yap out of thin air is astonishing
Kiri builds the mesh server side,.. aka you are working for them for free.
Great video. Thank you for going in depth. It is clearly not a toy.
Glad it was helpful!
EVERYTHING GONNA CRAZY

Hi! Is it possible if I already have the Point Cloud data from a Laser Scan, to visualize it with Nerfs or Guassian Splat?
no unfortunately
Would love to see you cover more about nerfs and similar technology

@@jackisbuildingkiri2997 Thanks for the clarification! Will definitely try out some scans
@@jackisbuildingkiri2997 sweet! Also works on the free version?
some kind of progress in this area. i can remember when if you could just make a sphere with your mouse it was exciting.

Reality capture, you only pay for the export!
I don't like that these apps or solutions often require uploading your data.
Awesome🎉🎉
Nice introduction!
Thanks for your work !
Is 3d scanning render friendly? Less polygon?
Wow this is better than most professional tool.
Thank you! I make a lot of stuff with poly cam. I will try it now!👍
i want to use my 180 VR Anaglypg camera for this, the fotage has all the information. (Kanda Qoocam ego)
Is Kiri one of those paid subscription apps or is it free?
it's free but i think it has an optional subscription
Nuero only avail on pro sub....and there is the rub
Interesting 🤔
Nerf, saw it in Corridor crew, crazy tech, if they keep improving it people will create really marvelous things
As usual…. nothing I can actually use right? Where’s the app I can download to use this. 1 year later
So...am I going to lose my job or not? Just a humble 3D artist here...
No.
Not yet.-)
you cant scanning monsters, fantasy weapons and props
I thinks it's more a Toy and not replacing proper Scanning at Photogrammetry anytime soon

Define „soon“-)

i thought he is going to talk about gaussian splatting :)
Same, im lost, too much crazy stuff at the same time.
Its nerf or nothing
its not free
Subscription so: Nope.
It's nurf or nothing

@@ak_fx Learn to take a joke dude
its not free. lidar is free, featureless is not. BIG "IF"
photogrammetry is NOT 3d scanning. just saying. 😉
