Thank you... When I took my house the armature stayed inside the housing and I couldn't figure out how to get it out. Lucky I was just replacing the brushes that video was on before this one lol. Still when my knowing how to get it out of my housing. I took the box apart that was on the housing (Holds the power wire) nothing worked could not get it out.... but I fixed a jammed burnt down melted brush. Got it from my old boss cause he didn't wanna fix it lol
I am very happy you did this job on a Makita I think my Bosch will be done the same way It seems to have problems with the cooling fan still new 6 years old i am on the Right track now id like to thank you at least a million times jv
friend. from argentina patagonia you would be kind and explain to me how you connect when changing the stator of the Makita mlt 100. I've had that unused machine for two years because I don't know how the new stator is connected.
@@fredjones1238 yes, I did. And then found out I had them on reversed and had to do it again. The trick I finally came up with was to use a couple of 2-fork thin skewers for barbecue 😎 It worked fine and I’ve been running the saw successfully since.
Question ? my Ridgid R4516 Table saw - Reached the exposed Motor Armature : UNABLE to PULL out of GEAR CASE ??? is ther a CLIP on a RIDGID ? os is it just Like the Makita in the Video ?
I'm trying to replace the armature on an older Makita 2708 table saw. It seems that it's pressed into to gearbox end (blade end) and there's virtually no clearance between the fan and gearbox housing to pry them apart. Any suggestions? It won't simply come out by hand like the model in this video.
I have removed brushes and housing with field and the field will not separate from armature. Rotating armature and pulling will not separate the two. Any suggestions?
I had the exact same experience. Found articles pointing to the machine had overheated and melted the interior oft the field and housing, so I had to buy replacements for these as well.
Hello! Very good vid! Do you know if the armature from 2704 will fit 2702 table saw? I checked part list of both table saws and found out that they are using mostly the same parts. Stator is the same. The helical gear set of them differ (depth and needle bearing/ball bearing) but both have 42 teeths. The gear housing is different. Still think that the armature will fit. Can somebody confirm it?

Is there an instruction on how to replace the field? Specifically the wires for the brushes houses. They are tricky to reach
