    This is such a deep subject and I'm so glad that Teen Vogue shed light on it. When I clicked on the video, all I was thinking was, "Oh! Troye is in here! I love him and blah blah..." (I apologize for that). But after watching it, I was shocked. We are able to watch this video from the comforts of our home where the simplest things like water and food are within our reach. It may be unimaginable what the people are going through. And tell me, when you were watching them and hearing them talk, didn't they look so friendly to you? They've been through so much and yet they are able to crack a smile, a beautiful smile, a humble smile, a sad smile... It was not sympathy, but empathy that made me go to www.aliforneycenter.org. Thank you, Teen Vogue and Troye Sivan for sharing this program.

I'm Jamaican and I don't hate you guy are anyone else who are different I then all . so yeah im 100 behind you guys. and yes if first time accepting that I'm supposing gay because of my family I couldn't say what I really felt. so love you all

      to be an ally, it isn't really signing up on paper, it's educating yourself. learn about the struggles on the lgbtq+ community and the different identities that are within the community. an ally is someone who marches along side us who isn't in the community but understands we deserve the exact same rights as you.

    i feel terrible that my country doesnt accept people that are in the lgbtq community cuz its "illegal" to be gay and all that. like legit, im not part of the lgbtq but it just makes me feel kinda bad for all the people in the lgbtq community that they cannot be treated equally just like everyone else is. to be honest, i wasnt that open minded into these things before, but then Troye changed me and made me learn to accept and understand about the lgbtq community better :)). there should be more people in the world like him

    It is sad to see that there is still so much to do within the LGBTQ+ community, we need to be supporting each other more and not fighting and bitching amongst ourselves.
    I was homeless for a while when i was young, my parents kicked me out when they found out i was gay, but i was lucky in that i had an aunt who took me in, not everyone is that lucky. I also think that more must be done to support LGBTQ+ people of colour, yes we are all gay and bi and trans but if we are white and/or cis, we have a better chance of finding support, i think it is really disturbing how, even in our own community, how trans women of colour are treated.
    Sorry rant over, it is a subject i have become very passionate about recently, but guys we all get shit on because we are LGBT but the POC in our community have it doubly bad and trans women of colour seem to be right at the bottom.
    Anyway that is just my opinion.

    3:09 how is poverty criminalized? What is he on about? xD

    • @elle3883
      @elle3883 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      (poverty or being homeless or with little money. living without all your basic needs.) I think what they're trying to out across is that people (in the majority) believe that as soon as you're homeless (or living in poverty) you're immediately a criminal of some sort or you take part in criminal acts. Sometimes people infer this from the fact that a lot of criminals are homeless or that people that are homeless feel the need to steal or take part in criminal activity to make loving for themselves. This (homeless people are criminals) entire idea however is simply stereotypical and based off emotion.
