Tate Britain is one London's most important galleries, yet many visitors may not be aware that it's built upon the old site of a very different institution: the Millbank Penitentiary which, in the Victorian era, was regarded as one of the capital's worst prisons...
In this video, we'll be looking at the history behind this dreaded gaol- along with a very odd 19th century attraction which can be seen inside University College London!
