Really wish I had looked into this more when younger. My Amstaff girl is 11.5 now, still pulls me on skateboard and healthy. But... When she was in her prime 🤯
Great video!! May I do a translation and explanation of the video to people in Latinoamerica? I want more people to know about the dryland. We had in México our Dryland last week, we are beginning so still don´t have the quantity and quality of your athletes but I hope someday participate in this world championship. (Of course, I will add a link to this original video).
The mountain bikes seem to be a bit cheating to me the scooters would be cool for short races and the trikes could definitely be outfitted to run a dry race like the Iditarod. Hope this stuff catches on.
Hello, don't mean to sound like a nob but How are the bikes cheating? Everyone that uses bikes are put into the Bikejor class. They don't all race together. Also, Bikes, scooters and Rigs (what the majority of people call them instead of trikes) all do the same distance which is approximately 3-4 miles. If you run teams larger than 4 on rigs then the distance may be increased. Also, those trikes would never be used in the Iditarod, even if they were outfitted. The wheels and snow wouldn't work well together. Not to mention the brakes and other moving bits that wouldn't undoubtfully freeze
Pobre perritos y donde las organizaciones de proteccion a estas criaturas, ojala les pusieran a estas personas directamente a ellos el harnes y los haria correr a velocidad aver si resisten.
Any sport has risks. It isn't like the dogs hate it or are being unfairly treated. It keeps both the people and dogs healthy and is also an enjoyable way for you to socialise . I don't understand why you think the dog will get dragged though because if you look there aren't any dogs behind the rider and if there are, it isn't getting dragged by much. If it is in a team then fair enough because that might happen but if there is a chance of that happening before the team goes out then the dog will get dropped or if it happens on a trail then you simply just slow the team down to its pace. Everyone acts as if it is so cruel to run dogs then they go and ride their horse which has chains in it's mouth which are used to pull it to the direction that you want. Without sled dog sports, there wouldn't really be much need for the breed anymore and so sled dogs wouldn't cease (with the exception of some countries using them for transport in very remote area which is becoming less common).
@@DelayEdits THIS SPORT one biker and one dog is is bad because as a biker myself going on bad terrain you going to have plenty of falls and sometime you get a rock that will get your bike going off trail and you drag that dog with you to who know what and even if the bake are brake good you still will fly over your bike , sorry dude dont like your sport the other with mutil dogs and the sled with wheel and dis brake is more forgiving , this one fails
@@junito1957 I honestly mean no offence but I'm really struggling to understand what you put. If you don't like what you see then don't watch the video. I don't like football or 'soccer' as it is called in America but I don't go posting about how they are overpaid every time someone talks about it... For races, they don't use 'Bad terrain'. If they tried to use a dangerous trail, there would be disputes from the competitors. For example, during the championships at Bessans , they delayed the event because the weather was bad. It wasn't like they used mountain bike trails for the event lol. Even if someone fell, the person would have had to have been going quicker than the dog to drag it which is unlikely; if anything, the person would get dragged by the dog instead of dragging it at which point they would get up and carry on or possibly receive help from a marshal if there is one near. The chance of you getting a rock stuck in your bike is unlikely as it wasn't a rocky track in the first place (Btw they won't set up a trail that could harm the dog, especially at a worlds ) and I don't see how braking will help you if you've already come off... Anyway, the competitors knew they might fall off and hurt themselves, it is not like it's a secret or anything. If they did come off, they wouldn't hurt the dog anyway. I'm interested to know how the sport fails though....
@@junito1957 that's why most bikejoring is done on flat and smooth terrain. I have friends that have been doing this sport for years with well trained dogs, and not once have they ever fell off of the bike.

Les meilleurs sports et compétitions, un bonheur ❤
love it at 2:33 the dog gets a ninja drink of water.
also, does anyone know where to buy the trikes at?
Depends on how much you want to spend and where you live. Anywhere from a couple hundred £/$ to a few thousand
Koska, Real dog, Urban wolf
They call that "dipping" On sleds some will bite at snow. When you are going fast it can be a problem. Dogs might trip and fall, etc.
This gave me chill down the spine, well made....guys
Facts this should be done in NYC too 😊
Glorious!
Amazing!!!

Is this about Bikejoring or slow motion video editing to music? If it's about Bikejoring, they sure don't have much to say about it.
👋 would it be ok for me to share this video, I always give credit 😁
Amazing video, I would like to see a wolfhound or a deerhound making this sport, I am sure that he would make a great time.
I love that chariot!!
Awesomevideo
Have always wanted to do this!
Cross with dog ist' a beautiful sport☺.
It CAN be. I work in dog sled racing and I've seen alot of bad stuff. Not beautiful at all. Mainly from "professionals"
SUPER

So ... the Belgian team won ... does onyone have the names of these guys?
There were lots of different winners from all nations, not just Belgium
Wow a dog chariot❤
alguien que hable español ; deberíamos difundir el canicross aquí en latinoamerica.
buen vídeo i like
Beatifulllllll,😀😌😛😀💖💗💘💟💞💝😂👍👏👋
Genial
It’s kinda sad that some mushers abuse their sled dogs for not being good enough or fast enough for them
The best team ever: dog and ape.
the sprite will live on by these dog handlers.
wow, cool
Less dogs would be in shelters if more people knew about this sport, are you listening America?
Incroyable il n'y a pas de berger malinois, le circuit est trop facile
My chihuahua would be a champion in this sport

No purebred dog but mongrels
i dont agree with this sport both rider and dog could easy be hurt and the dog will take the most hit bring drag in to a fall or worse
