I didn't have much money so I did get a couple of grab bags, in particular I got one that had an off center error coin and a lot of foreign coins. I would have love love loved the first one. I was actually suckered into the exact same lot (for the silver), and my experience mirrors yours. Being generous, based on the silver melt I maybe got half what I paid. Nothing really had numismatic value.
The fake gold dollars are 5 for $5 and can be purchased right on eBay. The pearls are worth maybe $1.50. The gold "flake" (usually foil or electronics gold scrap) vials included in similar auctions are also worth about $1 each.
I have tried many of these lots. From Graded slabbed coin mystery lots, to "below wholesale dealer bid" lots.
The best you can expect is to break even. As far as the bottom, there isn't one.
I actually had the best luck with proof coin mystery lots. At least some of those could return a big profit if I could convince myself they were worth getting graded. Many were flawless and untouched. Some still in mint cello.

Why would they sell a bag with a0 gold coin that alone capn be worth a min of $80-$100 for $16. When they can take that gold coin to a coin shop/pawnshop and get its almost full value. How many gold coins have you recently sold for $16? Ask your self that.

Also, this looks like the Chinese limited edition coin from 2017, could be another year. Anyway, it usually costs about 50 - 100 Euro and they rise up in value a lot over the years since it's limited edition (A lot of fanatic coin collectors in China).

You know, it's that you commented on this one that I see now, He gave this comment a heart before, then went on to make said update, claimed it was his own idea, and then apparently deleted the heart. He didn't like me saying he ripped someone off on another video, even though he clearly did... So he could use that as an excuse, would be a sad excuse, but an excuse nonetheless. I am glad it was fake, and I hope he doesn't sell it on ebay as real. But most likely he will. He is a douche like that as he has proven himself to be.
