I`m looking at purchasing a pair of Rega RX3`s at the moment for my all Rega system. I had the R5`s and really liked them. I hoping these will be as nice or nicer sounding.
the turntable and cartridge with that system can make it sound almost perfect. I ´ve bought recentelly a P10 with it´s alimentation source , only didn´t kept it´s alpheta 3 cartridge because i have new the hana umami red and can substitute it for 500€ at the most, i am using a C3 pioneer exclusive series pre and two mono blocks M5 also exclusive series ,allthough they still worked with very good sound ,due to it´s age i ´ve restored them to original specifications using a pair of mission 761 at 4 ohms for low music level and some 2401 twin speakers also from exclusive series and i´m using a PD-9000 cd player with a bettter than the original dac which was already very good but paid 30€ for a better one with instalation, also am using a RT-707 reel deck and a phase linear 7000 series two ,brand bought by Pioneer and equal to the CT-A1that was built with much cheaper material, i have several nakamichi cassette decks most of them top end models but sincerelly this one or the pioneer version of it are flat recorders and sound better at all levels, playing or recording cassettes and i´m using a alternative turntable from pioneer the original turntable from pioneer exclusive series the P3 with a new quintect black S MC cartridge, had a old AT(MC) but couldn´t find good substitution needles, most of my material is from the 70´s and it belonged to my father but he passed away two years this month of march and all his hi-fi component colection came to me, my sister and brother didn´t want nothing from his music related colection, before i was using a A series pre+amplifier from technics ,the A1 and A2 with a SL-1000MKII with original MC stylus EPS-300 and pre amplifier for it the SU-300 made for this cartridge(now are stored in their original boxes)with the technics SB-E200 spakers and the SB-F3 for low volume listening
This combination of components sounds really good.
Heed is fine stuff.

But they're smaller... do you have a smaller audio space now?
