Yeah the characters in outlast trials aren't trying to do some noble goal like take down Murkoff. They are just trying to gain their freedom that's it.

@sammitchell3657 it's crazy fun imo. But coop is where it's at, solo is still entertaining and fun but the fun factor is not nearly as fun as it is with people. This is truly not a shy person's game lemme tell you. I beat the snitch mission with people and was like wow this is not a shy person's game
It's got some cheesy cutscenes, but it legitimately isn't a bad multiplayer game. I thought it'd be terrible or just your standard multiplayer, but it's pretty fun.
@VeIxity except for the fact that he said that the plot of the game was to find evidence and escape, which isn't the plot AT ALL. You just complete trials until you get enough release tokens. After that, Murkoff just lets you go. But in the process of doing all of the trials, they brainwashed you, so no your character will never go to the authorities
I really hope they go back to single-player in the next Outlast, I mean the multi-player aspect is really fun but I miss the atmosphere that the first one had

@@ashleydiaz929 I'd say so my main criticism before the most recent update was lack of daily things to keep playing the game but with the recent update they simplified the trial selection menu added a new trial and main enemy who is the first ranged big bad~ Added a new gamemode escalation where its basically try to go through as many trials in a row starting frim scratch in terms of equipment health sanity and battery life carry over to the next trial and they get increasingly difficult but if make it decently far you get a shit ton if rewards~ They added daily and weekly and a bunch if challenges that reward xp and a new currency system. They added a catalogue system which is basically free to play battle passes you can't buy them with real life money you have to ear the points to unlock new catalogues through gameplay and they are not limited time at all once you buy one it there forever and it seems like completing one gives you enough points to get the next one and that one gives you enough to get the next one and so on~ BUT OVERALL the game is very fun I've been playing since it released on xbox its a full on horror game when playing solo and its a bloody clown circus when playing with friends watching your friends run around like their chickens with their heads cut off is hilarious~~~
tbh i love outlast but trials is not it for me. if the maps were randomly generated instead of the objectives idve went crazy for it. cant have everything my way though 😂
Game is addictive as hell. Didnt care for the first two but this on PS5 is rock solid. First game in a minute to pull me away from Helldivers 2 and Trepang 2. Highly recommended.

I still play it today, lots of people do. I have a lot of fun with it and they're still adding new stuff and trails, I think it's fun albeit hard
