A walk across the Monon High Bridge

- I had many requests to repost this video, so here it is. Recorded in March 2022, this was a walk across the Monon High Bridge, attempting to cross as quickly as I could. I wanted to give people an idea of what the bridge is like.
There is also a bit of footage underneath the bridge on the south side.
I'd hate to encounter someone coming the other way if I was crossing that bridge
NO WAY would I have gone that far over that bridge, a few steps woulda told me NAH not doing it !!

You hauled *ss. You're a lot braver than me! I saw another video taken of bridge 5yrs ago. Bridge was in a lot better shape then. I don't remember the trees against bridge either.
I’ve never seen the area till now. So heartbreaking they were so terrified, poor girls. Such evil in this world.
Great video saw more of the area & good, clear camera viewing. At least you showed where he took the girls. It seems so quiet, peaceful no wonder people like to go there. I must say though I was nervous for you walking that bridge. I couldn't do it, I'm afraid of heights & would need a railing to hold on to. I was afraid one of those ties would give way & you would break a leg or fall all the way down. No no no way I couldn't do it too unsafe rickety! Glad you got across safely. I'm gonna keep watching for more of your videos on this case if you do them.

If Abby's image isn't photoshopped, for her first time across that bridge, she has her hands in her pockets.
I couldn’t do it, too scared of heights. I’m kind of surprised it’s left up, kind of a liability. It’s certainly very interesting. It’s pretty there, but scary when you think of what terror those kids must’ve been feeling 😔
That bridge is absolutely terrifying all by itself!
Thanks for doing this! The bridge is more narrow than I pictured. I imagine it would be scary having a big guy pass you on that narrow, rickety bridge even if you aren't afraid of heights. I wonder about that moment of interaction. Did he say something or did he leer at them? Did he know they came to the bridge often and was waiting for them specifically? Or was he just waiting for any vulnerable person to come along?
My guess would be waiting for any vulnerable victim.
I think they wanted to get dropped off there because they thought they were going to get to meet up with Anthony Shots.

@@FosterFamilyFar-outFun Not in Delphi, it isn't. Lots of kids hang out there. There were 4 other juvenile girls there before Abby and Libby got there. They're in the PCA, identified as witnesses.
Too bad Libby didn’t make a live phone call or FaceTime to an adult while he was approaching. And spoke loudly to the person as BG approached. He wouldn’t have proceeded with his plan then.
Probably cause it was somebody she knew like a family member or law enforcement

If it was someone she knew why video tape in the first place discreetly? Much less make a phone call? My guess the girls felt creeped out that someone was following them and she decided to get her phone out and record.
The bridge is much longer than I thought after watching you walk across. I think in my mind it was 1/2 the distance. Great video. There are no leaves on the trees. I mean no cover. Whoever did this was bold because anyone could have seen him it took minutes to walk to that area from the bridge. Literally got chills watching this.

Good video, having never been in Delphi, or even Indiana, it was always hard for me to visualize. I hike a lot, but even in Winter, we have tons of conifers, so I had no sense of how open it is there.
You made crossing look easy, but I think I had a pit in my stomach the entire time.
I don't believe he followed them across the bridge. I think he was already on the other side waiting for a female victim. He walked past them like he was going back across and then turned around and trapped them. That explains why Libby started filming.

I don't think the bridge had a say in the matter. People tend to walk all over it no matter what it wants.

You went the wrong way after the down the hill. They went right along the creek the. Over the creek up the bank and was found in a dip. I also believe they were taken away by road to somewhere close and held until the early hours of the morning. This was well planned and more than one person.

Usually if a commentator doesn’t specify who they are replying to - in general they’re directing their comment to the creator…and if that wasn’t clear enough, they commented on the channel. Since it’s not your channel, there’s a 99.9% chance it doesn’t have to do with you…sheesh

Not gonna lie, just watching u walk across this was scary as hell. I just couldn’t walk it this fast and I am a super quick walker (in short spurts - like 15 min around the grocery store, I’m the person who appears always in a rush).
Someone had to be used to going across that bridge . . .bg was local

I never understood why the town of Delphi allowed this dangerous bridge to be available to the public. The wood was rotted, and there were zero railings. This bridge had danger written all over it. In recent years, part of the bridge has since been repaired and has railings.
Those poor girls. I just had a biopsy done on my neck and it was so painful. That was nothing compared to what these girls went through All I can think of is how painful it was for these girls and how scary to have their necks cut open. Absolutely horrific.

I'm scared of heights I wouldn't cross it even if there weren't any gaps. Glad you could do it. That's scary to me. Especially when you stopped and had us look down my heart kind of sunk.

You crossed that bridge quickly! But i still can't say BG was the one who ordered them down the hill, i was watching the timer and BG apparently wasn't spotted in the background until around 5 seconds into the video, the video is only 43 seconds long and the "voice" is apparently at around 40-41 seconds meaning he had to catch up to them in what 30 seconds? Not be out of breath and be able to control the girls enough to get them down the hill. It took you over 30 seconds betweeen each platform even at your speed.
In my opinion whoever took the girls was already on that side of the bridge, the girls either hadn't noticed BG which is why they didn't shout out to him or assumed that because BG was on the bridge that they wouldn't be able to get past him on the bridge which meant they were trapped and the only thing that was left for them to do was go "down the hill".
I also have an awful feeling that they knew the person that took them which is another possible reason they didn't panic.

Do you proof Libby was there to meet someone?
@rsnay me? No I have no proof, I just gave my opinion and a possibility. As I haven't been at the trial and I live in the UK I am very limited as to what I see and hear on this case, however I have been watching and listening to as many different yt or podcasts about the trial both prosecution sided and defence sided and I am still no closer to knowing if RA is guilty or innocent, and because of that I couldn't convict him as I still have doubts. I still believe there were others involved and I still believe that even if RA was involved there are still people or a person out there who had a hand in this.
I don't think this trial is going to bring the much needed and deserved justice for Abby, Libby or the families of anyone involved.
@@naomimcewan9744you make 💯 more sense with your analysis of the person already being on that side of the bridge than the prosecution saying he was behind them. I agree - the voice of “down the hill” wasn’t out of breath (not to mention when we refer to people as “guys” it’s usually either our peers or someone around our age). LE really did a shoddy job & the fact they asked the FBI to pull out is a mystery. I hope the families get justice AND I hope the right person is convicted.
After this trial I am not convinced that it is RA.

Great video. Question if you have time: on the front side of the bridge, I've heard the hills down to the creek were much steeper, probably too steep to descend easily. Was this your experience? We're wondering what RA would have done if the girls didn't cross the bridge. Could he take them down the front side?
When you reach the bridge, there’s a path to the left. It leads all the way around past the cemetery to Ron Logan’s property.
These were 2 young children; 13 and 14, scared and confused. Whoever did this, knew exactly where to lead them. There had to be someone else waiting down that hill.
So down the hill was forcing them go away from the bridge , am so hurt imagining how these two girls suffered but why God
I don't know why they didn't emphasize to the jury that there was a road right there.
Excellent video, I saw this and it sent chill's down my whole body reliving what the girls went through in my mind almost felt physical. I will never understand how Richard Allen could do do this heinous, horrible evil deed. My biggest question is why? What did he gain from it? Was it for his own perverted pleasure or part of an internet scam to lure them out for a child snuff film?
Your video gave a whole other perspective, called reality. Reality of what was happened to Abby and Libby. Their hearts we're bearing so fast! Libby thought of running and screaming but she wasn't going to leave Abby alone. The killer stayed with the bodies after he tied them up killing them one at a time! Oh my God one of the girls probably witnessed the other being killed, undressing them and posing their bodies I think killer used a hatchet like sharp implement to create the worst post mortem gore photos imaginable, possibly for the dark web? And to think, his wife was sleeping with someone capable of brutal and bloody gory, double child homicide with sexual deviance motives.
You were correct about him putting their bodies in the ravine or gully so their bodies wouldn't be seen so easily. Good job crossings the Monon High bridge too. You make it look so easy. Appreciate you sir!
Great video! It's so easy to think of what the girls could have done to escape had they not been so afraid. I feel 2-3 people were involved for sure. I'm sure they both could have outrun one perp, but 3? Especially if they came off as authoritative, they wouldn't have known what to do. 😢
So glad I found this video. I've been hoping to find a video of the old bridge all the way to the other end. Thank you! After listening to the coverage of the trials you can see that maybe a person was at the other end went past them and then came back. Still think there had to be two people. If there was one, two athletic girls could've fought or ran. I think they tried to escape at the river. You demonstrated how quickly someone could cross that bridge though! They should show this footage to the jury sans audio.
Very clear what was around them, I'm thinking if someone was crossing the bridge wouldn't they have seen them were your are, he must have knew he could be spotted,

I definitely think these girls were planning to meet someone there, and that's why libby was recording. I also dont really believe the guy on the bridge is the guy that ordered them down the hill. The BG is way too far away. It doesn't seem that way since they zoomed in on the video, but hes barley a speckle in the picture that Libby took of Abby on the bridge. Someone else was definitely on the other side of that bridge. I personally think Libbys family has more information than they are telling.
That was only a very few seconds of a 43 second video that was sliced. Of course it was him that ordered them down the hill

A person with a few beers in him wouldn't have been able to walk across that dangerous bridge like that
Seems as though it’d be easy to do a height analysis of someone photoed walking on that bridge. Also seems like if he were that far away in the video (based on the evidence produced in court) the voice would have had to come from someone other than bridge guy. I think they have framed this poor man. And so do many many other people.
I heard on a video, they said it would cost 10,000.00 to do a height analysis. I thought it sounded steep.
So many people saying the bridge is scary... I've crossed it and I'm afraid of heights! The bridge is much wider than what it seems here. If you walk in the middle then even if you slip or trip you're very unlikely to roll off the sides.
Yikes ..breaking out in a sweat here, you are brave ! When i walked across a very high bridge once , i made the mistake of looking down lol . Never again !!🤦♀️

They did scream. They did testing from that area, and screams could not be heard

Loking back on this now during trial. Knowing the girls said there's no path when they they were ordered down the hill. I'm very confused now as i was sure they went down the left side. Has that path always been there?

I quite like the theory of BG coming down from the cemetery, past the kill site, south side of the bridge, walking past them, and then double back theory BUT one thing I was thinking today. That requires BG being awfully patient for a victim/s to be walking across the bridge. It just seemed a tiny bit odd. Him sitting around, looking at his watch, waiting for someone to come across the bridge before he could pull off his plan. Cos I imagine there is no guarantee someone would be crossing the bridge (then again I don't know how popular it is)

I think that (and I can't remember who hypothesized this....one of the videos on you tube) he chased them to where someone else was waiting. They may have even thought that the 2nd person would help them. They could have run right into a trap. When I watched that video, it made so much sense that my hair stood on end. Think about it. He used their fear against them. The second person could have even beckoned to them, pretending to offer help.
This is exactly, what I Believe. BG and "down the hill" are two separate men. One threatens them with a gun, the other offers help to escape from the threat, down the hill, this is why they went with him instead of running away.

@@rsnay oh and I suppose you don’t think he did it… When he showed up iat exactly the right time on the video, past the girls at the entrance, was standing on the bridge when Betsy showed up, never appeared again to anyone else on the trail, gave an exact timeline and explanation, how and why he killed the girls, admitted to the van passing by and what scared him so it made everything made sense on how they ran across the creek, and being spotted again on the road, obviously continuing to avoid the crowd at the entrance to the bridge back to his car. and to bring it all back, he knew the bridge and had crossed it before. Facts I suppose, unless you choose to believe he was so abused in the jail so that is why poor RA confessed … That’s not fact.

This bridge is nightmarish... It's incredible people go there to walk... Just the idea of walking on it with strangers is chilling...

I think there was two people involved. I think one parked a get away truck on that road as to possibly abduct them. They decided to run down the creek instead. I think BG is TK and the voice we hear is KK. As 43 seconds wouldn't be long enough for BG to catch them. Remember in the interview LE asked kk why he was so obsessed with the audio and why he listened to it over and over.

BG never crossed the bridge he was always on the south end when the girls got close he appeared walked past them on the bridge and then turned around. IMO

I've always thought that. In the pic of Abby, you see no one coming behind her on the bridge. I believe he passed them from the south end and then turned around to follow them. That would have made Abby film him at that point. Had they seen him coming from the north end, they would have had time to run if they thought he was suspicious. And it had to be someone who knew the area and where to take them to avoid anyone happening on the scene. Maybe someone who happened to see them from his own property.

Has anyone ever fallen from this bridge and been hurt or died???? How do people walk across a bridge like this without stumbling or tripping? I trip over things a lot and fall down sometimes from stumbling over things like rocks and uneven surfaces sometimes when I walk.... How is it people can safely walk across a bridge like this with no railings or anything to stop them from falling? I bet I would trip and fall easy from this bridge!

Thanks for the video. Dangerously filled with misinformation, but shows that the public was fed bad intel by law enforcement. BG was way farther away, they were at the edge already, bridge in not an easy walk, it is not secluded at all, you can hear everything, they did have options of escape, and points stronger to it being someone they knew. good work, very helpful.
This bridge has so much potential for trapping innocents, reckon only someone familiar with the bridge would know that !!! Folks you have to think of the possibilities before attempting, they must have been terrified

@@rsnaygood to know! This was a very informative video. From what I’ve seen, they’ve rebuilt like half the bridge, so it’s hard to kinda get a sense of what things were like when they went down. But your video is the perfect historical record of what it was before the changes.

He probably had them go the direction in which Abby’s shoe was found near the driveway below.
I think her shoe was actually found embedded in the mud by the Creek.
Very interesting, I noticed you were a little breathless after crossing the bridge, but the alleged audio of BG is calm and not breathless and that voice after it was cleaned up comes from the right (behind the girls) according to my hearing, BG is coming from the left. Of course the video of BG is only two frames of very zoomed in video stabilised and on a loop, it's so zoomed in no one can make out his face; maybe what was shown in court clears up where he really was in relation to the girls but from what I heard from several reporting from the trial BG is barely seen in the original video. The original audio is also very garbled so how they came up with such a clear statement from such damaged audio doesn't make sense. With all the witness' from both sides nobody saw the girls on the bridge at all, yet they saw other girls. Of course the only proof they were on the bridge is Libby's photo of Abby and that has been blown out of the water since in court it was told there is no data of that photo on Libby's phone. I have to wonder were the girls dropped off on the road you dropped down to and they climbed up to the bridge only to be followed?

There's a pair of shoes stuck in a tree on the right side about 100 feet after the bridge starts. It looks live they've been stuck up there for 20 years or more

You were winded in this bideo. BG was not when he said "down the hill". So either BG was in better shape or took longer to cross. I don’t believe someone who has been "spooked" by a passing vehicle would have then dressed and staged the victims. I also don’t understand how someone could kill 2 people with a knife.

I definitely wouldn’t walk across that bridge fast. He is lucky he didn’t fall, or his leg falls through. Libby and Abby were walking slow. The bridge looks very dangerous I see in this video. I can’t remember which girl it was but there was something I heard that one went down on there bottom. So I’m thinking the rock like side he took them down on

i dont know what happened or who did what to who, but the thing i cant get over is how anyone would just let their kids go walk by themselves on that insane thing that is not even an actual bridge. I wouldnt walk on it, and i wouldnt in a million years let my kids anywhere near it even if i was holding their hand. Even if it was brand new, and had safety rails on both sides, i would not let my kids walk on it.
