Overall I think Captain Sandy is a good Captain, but also not immune to making a odd wrong decision by maybe misjudging a situation of a stew etc. But she appears to otherwise mostly give a person the benefit of doubt and often more than one chance to improve. I like her a lot. I often regret missing out on a opportunity to work on a yacht years ago when I was young. I chose another course of work at the time. Looking back I regret it.

Yeah I found the firing difficult to settle with. My original comment made from watching a television program- structured reality. I’ve not deleted it retroactively cause that wold be pretending I didn’t write it. I liked her. Have no practical knowledge of her actual competence, also I think it’s commonly known the crew are ‘cast’ by the producers leaving her less responsible for the many examples of idiocy. Lastly I did think that while the firing was 100% ugly, it also was all played out in front of the cameras , including the so called ‘abuse’.So it’s hardly black and white. But like Andy Cohen and Bravo in general, I’ve stopped watching as I feel it mainly puts out negative content that seems superfluous in the world 🌍 we now live.
Captain Sandy stood above the rest when it came to Captains on this program. Between her, Mark and Lee she was a really positive and hands-on captain. Genuinely interested in working within a team. Really fantastic role model for younger people looking to build a career in that industry. My Fav Cap.

that's his job though to drive the boat, it's the chief stew's job to train interior crew and the bosun's job to train the deck crew and captain lee has interaction with those two.

Wow, Captain Sandy looks like a phenomenal boss. She’s very fair with her crew, and will defend them when they’re in the right. Absolutely honourable boss, and great Captain. I wish I could be a multi millionaire and go and experience one of their cruises but I have more of a chance of becoming PM.
I love each of the Capts and all 3 have their merits and all 3 are clearly experienced and more than capable at their job. Capt Lee reminds me of a seasoned Colonel that takes it all in and says very little but what he does say is salient and to the point - love him! Capt Sandy is a woman surviving in a male dominated world without resorting to being macho. Excellent manager but needs to ease off a little on the fire fighting in regards to her staff - still not wrong, just different styles and each achieve the goal. Capt Glenn fascinates me! He's the one I'd give it all up to run away with! Spat tea and nearly fell off the couch first time he swore! Again, as equally good as the others just a different style!

Didn’t care for her at first.., introducing yourself to the crew by your first name and not using the word ‘captain’, only to then make a point about women captains being mistaken for stewards is just unfairly baiting them. But I do love the “I don’t want to hear “but on my last boat”” - that’s too real, and for any job that someone starts in, you always hear them say “at my last place we did XYZ”
I feel terrible for all these comments saying she’s great. Y’all must have had some truly AWFUL managers in the past because objectively, Sandy is a terrible leader in all capacities. Micromanaging, disrespectful, self-centered and doesn’t at all understand the “big picture” no matter how many times she says she does.
