Rob Arnold is one of the greatest lead players of the era and it is a god damn shame he is no longer doing it. He has literally crafted Chimaira's sound, dude is a killer.
@robarnoldworld is most definitely still around. He has his own project “The Elite” as well as playing in Six Feet Under after Chimaira. Rob is still very much active and killin it 🤙🏼
Often over looked, under appreciated and perhaps one of the most underrated metal bands of the last 20 years in my opinion. The Impossibility of Reason and Chimaira are killer albums from start to finish, I’m thrown back into high school when I hear this song. Thank you Chimaira for those records.
@@clintjohnson5845 well underrated? I'm not sure I would say that, around impossibility of reason they had a lot of hype around them and a pretty insane fanbase, what I think the problem was is mis management and lack of promotion by the labels they were on. Roadrunner did Chimaira dirty and then having to move to smaller labels didn't help there cause either. I would definetly say there one of the best bands to ever get completely ruined by there labels
I bot their first demo cd years ago and have never been let down and this awesome band was never appreciated the way they should have been and still to this day listen to their great music
I'll never understand how this track didn't become an instant no. 1 hit on all Heavy Metal and Rock charts across the board. Chimaira is easily the best Heavy Metal band to release their first album post 2000.
Everything about these guys is as real as it gets. You can tell they lived for this, loved a few beers, loved the life, but lived for playing live onstage and it shows
2:17 you can hear him dial in the perfect tone on "Salvation" Been a singer the majority of my life, it can be very difficult and this is proof how a professional nails this. Well done!
My first ever gig was Chimaira at a small little venue in Colchester, the start of a love for going out to gigs and they played insane too, couldn't have asked for a better first gig. Just around the time they released the self titled album. I believe it was released maybe one week after and they debuted a couple of those songs before the album release I think if I remember right, nothing remains and Inside the horror, one band I wish would get back together, it's great to see they atleast keep in touch and jam together occasionally on Robs youtube channel. Maybe one day 🤞
I'm with you. Got to see them 3 times. Ozzfest 2002, Roadrunner Roadrage Tour with Trivium and Machine Head, and hands down the WILDEST was at Still born Fest at 9:30 Club in DC. It was a hardcore tour featuring Stretch Armstrong, Sub Zero, Agnostic Front, Sick Of It All, Madball, and Hatebreed and Chimaira (even though a metal band) whipped that crowd into a frenzy and kicked everyone's ass!!! That was the WILDEST show I've ever been to. I miss Chimaira but am so thankful that I got to see them live.

Rob Arnold is so underrated. I mean, he does get the recognition he deserves - but it could also be so much more. He's a Dimebag. Dime had the massive attitude, and a great band - it was a combination effect that made him legendary. However, since Pantera, there are very few metal bands I really appreciate, but I just feel Rob always encapsulates the same energy and great grooves, riffs and vibe. Thanks Rob.
Mark just has such an AMAZING quality to his voice, super heavy growl right into velvety smooth lyrics and song. Add the mind-blowingly heavy guitar/bass line - best metal band out there. Still regretting not having the chance to see the original lineup play live. WHHHHYYYY??
I've seen a ton of National acts dating back to the 1980s. Of all the concerts I've been to, I've never had as good of a time as Chimaira on 2 different occasions. I saw them open for and destroy Slayer, then saw them later on the Slipknot/Fear Factory tour, which was insane. Slipknot was a letdown after Chimaira and FF. Chimaira at House of Blues in Myrtle Beach was the best show I've ever been to. Chimaira opened with Down Again, which was epic and one of the best show openers ever written.
i just saw these guys last night with 4 otherbands. i heard of them back in 08 and i wasnt into this kind of metal then. when i saw these guys live, they blew the roof off the building!
Miss these guys and their unique and powerful sound... Saw them live 5 times because they’re sooo good live... Hopefully one day we get a reunion like SOAD is currently doing
Ei! Alguém de Portugal? Chimaira é brutal! Alguém os viu cá? Acho que vieram com il nino e e outros brutais de q n me lembro do nome. Esta banda tem riffs do carago.
Let´s not make assumptions alright? Everybody can be replaced. Of course it won´t be the same again, but give them a chance and wait with your judgement until their new album comes out. Emil and all the new people have experience as well.

I first encountered Chimera in Cleveland when they headlined Sounds of the Underground. Loved them ever since.
Chimaira is some of the best shit. them and Pantera are two bands I REALLY wish were still around.
