What did you enjoy most about Sea of Stars? Are you interested in where this lighthearted tale continues or was this not quite your speed? Please share your thoughts on your experience below!
What drew me to the game mainly was the visual art style and rpg elements however I didn't stick around for long due to the slow story and linear gameplay. Sadly you can only level up when the game allows you to because there are no random encounters. It's a beautiful game and i know there will be a lot of people who enjoy it, just not my cup of tea. However i really enjoyed your review, you sound like you did good research before speaking and have a good grasp on player experience, game design and the genre. Good job, keep making videos because the moment you blow up people will want more of your content.
never really finished the post game stuff but i did thoroughly enjoy the game. timing your hits for more damage and the classic rpg feel of it was really good.
I loved their first game, but i hate sea of stars. The whole game feels like filler, the main characters are not even the main characters since the writer for this game's story has a dirty fantasy about one eyed fat guys who can cook. The combat is slow and the moves are boring since the attacks you do in the first 30 minutes of the game are the same attacks you will be doing 10+ hours into the game. I have seen people call this a faithful successor to chrono trigger and i find that insulting.
It's certainly not in the arena of higher-tier RPGs and could use some improvements to take it to the next level. But yeah faithful successor to Chrono Trigger is ludicrous. Completely different league not to mention time.

I love the art style and i wonder what engine they used.
Unity
Yup I believed they used Unity
I liked it besides the bland combat and some plot points. The Messenger is still my favourite game from Sabotage
