    Another great video Aaron, a lot of lessons shared, including the cooking! Being a picky guy from Italy, would just have minor corrections to your risotto, but you basically nailed it. Congratulations, great fishing and great cooking, as usual! 🐟👨‍🍳 💪

      What would you do differently? Genuinely want to know. Thanks!

    • @salted-anchovy
      @salted-anchovy ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gomertube 1) the arborio rice should be salted well in a pan separately without any condiment, 2) wait to pour the rice into the onions until the onions are well browned out, 3) add white wine rather than lemon, 4) the final "mantecatura" requires butter and real freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano, 5) You won't EVER see an italian put together a "primo" (the risotto) with a "secondo" (the grouper). But I understand by no means 5) will be ever picked up in the US. Hahahahah!

    From Sicily: Try browning the rice in olive oil before adding the other ingredients. Can't tell whether you've heated the broth, but the broth needs to be simmering so the rice doesn't cool. A good sign might be that the rice skillet doesn't sizzle when you add the broth. And as you found, it takes a lot more broth than one might expect going in. My Sicilian friends also say the risotto ought to be pretty fluid, not clumpy like normal rice. Buon appetito!

    I don't think I've ever heard you be so judgmental in your videos before..."really small, only like 3-4 inches"... those seem to be perfectly average size fish just doing average size fish things. Not everybody wants or needs a ginormous fish... Yet another great video, that comment just made me laugh.

    I am relatively new to fishing and brand new to keeping fish to eat.

      Aloha. He has and is no longer able to keep up with the volume of traffic. Brain them(knife offset into brain or bonk), bleed by cutting gills on both sides ( I invert mine in a bucket of water if predators about I.e. sharks, sea lions, otters), take out the entrails, ice bath overnight. Hope it helps!

    Hard to say on the ammo, either 50 cal or 20 mm looked larger than 50 cal but it was all corroded over. Assume it wasn’t fired brass? 50 cal belts disintegrate as they are fired. Not super knowledgeable on 20 mm cannon but would assume they do also.
