I must admit that I am not the fastest ping on the network, so I am having problems interpreting and relating Netbox’s terminology. How do I interpret, Sites, Regions, Site Groups, Locations and Tenants to a single College/school structure with multiple campuses, multiple buildings, multiple floors, data centres, comms rooms and racks. With Sites, do I create a single principle site that is the name of College/school, then create sub Site Groups to represent each campus? Or do I create each campus as its own Site, where I can then use the Facility option to add a Data Centre for each campus. With each campus as its own Site, should I use Site Groups as buildings with the campus Site as its parent, then Locations can represent floors? Regarding Tenants, should I use Tenant Groups as Student, Staff, Infrastructure, Audio Visual, etc.
thanks for this it make the picture more clear.
