Watching this on an iPad Pro 11, connected to a Logitech Slim Folio Pro. Not boasting, it‘s just funny. :-) I also love this combination, so great to pull it out in the train or on a plane and use it almost as a laptop. Especially with the possibility to plug in a USB Stick and being able to access files without needing a cloud service for transferring them from your laptop beforehand.

Hello Joe, have question for biginner camera, I already read your blog for camera buy guide. I am confused between DSLR VS MIRROR LESS CAMERA? Which is batter? Guide me.
How do you feel about traveling to Japan with the Virus Outbreak? Because I have a flight now in April and I'm very concerned and thinking about changing the dates for a later day around fall to see how it calmed down.
To be honest, I’m not all that concerned, but it does depend on personal situation, current health, age etc. We’re still going ahead with the trip as planned and will of course be vigilant with cleanliness. I’ve been following the statistics from a numbers perspective and keeping a close eye on things. Japan is also one of the cleanest countries around which naturally makes me feel more comfortable. Given the situation expanding around the world, I almost feel I may prefer to be there than anywhere else. My advice would be to check your local medical advice and understand the consequence of self-quarantine upon return (if required) and any other up to date info. I had a really long day at work, but your video made my night so much better! I love watching videos like these! I hope to have my very own tech bag filled with cool gadgets soon
I do. Barely have a need for them on my day to day as I use contactless/Apple pay, but of course local currency is always required for those rare other moments. Keeping them separate stops them mixing. Would rather not have a wallet getting sweaty in my pocket, so I’ll put it in my bag.
Really well done and informative video Joe! Thanks for sharing. I found many useful items for long flights when I can start traveling back to the US again. Would love to see an EDC minimalist video from you too if you even have such a category (because you need all your gear it seems). I'd be curious as to what you carry when you're at a location, not working, but going out for a few hours to explore or just see the sights. Cheers!
To be technical on it, it's actually 100 Watt hours as a limit for most airlines. So capacity fluctuates depending on voltage out from the battery which can also limit other features such as speed etc. This Anker one I'm using is 5v output as standard, which places it pretty much exactly at 100Wh.
It takes a few flights to come up with your best personal travel EDC. For me I stick to the bare minimum tech(noise cancelling hp is a must!), water bottle, small toiletries pouch and a rolled up tshirt/underwear/socks all tucked in a 12L pack! Less is more for me
I’ve just come across your channel for the first time through this video, and I’m already a fan! I really need to check out the QC35s, because so many people have talked so highly of them, though I tend to be in situations where I want to block out noisy people and unpredictable/irregular noise rather than things like plane engine noises, so I’ll have to check out some of the Sony options as well. I also wear glasses and struggle to find headphones that are comfortable and glasses-compatible, and as a result I’ve mostly used only in-ear headphones, so it’s good to hear someone else with glasses gives the QC35s the thumbs up! Right now I’m using the Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 neckband in-ear headphones, which are fine (reasonably good sound quality and good in-ear fit and comfort, plus iPhone volume/start/stop controls), but the band is really starting to irritate me, and sometimes sits awkwardly in combination with winter coats and scarves etc. I had to buy new headphones at very short notice in Dec 2018 before a trip, so my choices were pretty much limited to what I could get from Amazon Prime Now! Despite being in-ear headphones, my Sennheisers don’t fold up into a small travel case due to the neckband, so carrying them around when I’m not wearing them is annoying, and being small and easily portable is part of the point of in-ear headphones! So maybe now is a good time to try and get used to the larger size of proper headphones... having proper headphones would be also more visible to others in the office, and might help to prevent some of their excessive interruptions! Like you I’m also a fan of the smaller iPad Pro (though mine’s still the 2017 10.5”), and I also have a Logitech Slim Combo keyboard case! I tend to only connect the keyboard half and not bother with the other part of the hard plastic shell, because I have my iPad in the Pipetto Origami case and I like the versatility of viewing angles and ability to rest securely on soft surfaces (bed/sofa/etc), but the backlit keyboard with proper keys is so good.
