  • The long-winded story of how I added a loader valve to the factory hydraulic system of an Ingersoll 2020PS.
Hydraulic theory, flow and pressure, benefits and drawbacks of different design options. Power beyond and priority splitting valve concepts.

I am on my own journey learning hydraulics and building my own machine. Your insights are highly valued to me. Thank you for sharing.

Wow!! What a story! Thank you for pressing on so we can all hear and see what happened. I for one, was enthralled with the challenges and mishaps along the way.

Nice detailed video, really like how you tell everyone your trials and tribulations as its real we know lol. Nice work and in the end projects are worth it (though at times during it does not seem it lol. Keep it up and glad I found some more time to check your videos out and as we know ourselves the time, effort and money involved turning out videos and content. Talk soon!

Excellent project and presentation. Learned valuable information about hydraulics as someone with little knowledge. My Ingersoll 4016 thanks you!

    That escalated quickly. Interesting project.

Thanks for this, a few directions I certainly hadn't thought of in my amateur plans.

Thanks for your sincere efforts to share the pitfalls of engineering something 'better' for your machine. I have a similar story with a Satoh s370D I bought and it literally took 10 years of part time hours to get it working like a brand new tractor. Now it needs a loader. However, our case we are lucky. There is no relationship with the hyd. pressure and the driving of the tractor; but the various requirements of the add-on implements are duly noted. You did an excellent presentation of what a man can do if brave, and what the many risks are. Best regards - and thanks again!

What type of Hydraulic cylinders you used? I am flowing you at same time I am making my one gourd up. please can you let us know

Why couldn't you plumb the pressure from the pump into your loader valve first, then from the power beyond from your loader valve into the travel control valve of the tractor would that not have worked?

That's what I did first. But when I used the loader while driving it isolated the travel control valve and the generated pressure blew up that line.
