It's interesting how Mojang made the custom dimensions work because (correct me if I'm wrong on this) the game is just using a bunch of junk data to make dimensions (which is why some just crash your game for seemingly no reason). It also explains the texture glitches, lighting, and goofy generation.

You probably already figured this after a lot of world hopping but sometimes worlds that look like Nether still allow you to use Water which could be very useful for easy obsidian or just traversing. (Also some Overworld like worlds have bed explosion or water not usable like in nether so better to be careful with it or just try it in a safe environment after entering it) Sorry I'm nerding.
