Well, martin was the first n then si many more followed repeating everything like a blueprint! And here even the hat is the same. But let's hope this channel will add more personal stuff. I really hope that. I am so fed up of guys copying... No creativity of their own... 🫤
Interesting project, congratulations on realizing your dream. The building looks so much bigger with the overgrowth removed! I like how you use only ambient sound in this video. Much more relaxing than the incessant chatter of some other channels.
It's funny how channels often start with "I'm doing this to let my family/friends see what I'm doing" then turn hugely successful! Now I've found you I'll keep watching. Good luck!
Great start and even better when no tecno Muzak baning away in the background. Viewing it with just human and mechanical sounds of effort is much better. Good Luck!
you did an excellent job in cleaning the surroundings of the ancient stone house, I thank you for the videos you make and for bringing this ancient reality to splendor, I can't wait to see how it continues. Good luck, welcome to Italy!
So impressed and to be congratulated, with your first day and will certainly follow your progress and will be watching this renovation. Well done. Look forward to more.👍
Just discovered your channel today. I too am a Martijn Doolard subscriber. I look forward to following along. I think I can spot where they have used concrete and also where the potential water / drainage issues are just from having watched Martijn. Wishing you best of luck and can’t wait to see your intro.
Hi from Scotland. I also watched Martijn Doorland renovate the first of two stone houses. He has just finished the first one. I am looking forward to your journey restoring your stone cabin.
Wonderful job! Clean up is always the worst but it pays off in the end. We had to do a lot of clean up in order to get our cabin going and we still do. We are documenting it all on our channel. Keep up the good work!
Súper interesante como encaro de una, el aislamiento de los cimientos. Vas a ser muy interesante como encara este proyecto, muy similar a Martijn Doolaard. Aparte se nota que sabe lo que hace! Saludos de Argentina!
You need an introduction that tells what you're going to do and why. Maybe what you hope to accomplish and then some voice over at the very least. An introduction of both you and your partner as well. I am interested in your project.
I hope you don't mind that I mention Martin Doolard like some of us here 🥰 I think YT refer me to your channel because of his channel 🤭 Can't wait to witness you finish of your own work of art. ❤Done subscribed and liked too 👍 God bless
I was thinking of John McCormack singing The Old House, as the cabin was revealed. I am sure that the key had some significance as a protective charm. The best of luck to you both!
Hi Travis 👋 👋 I'm your new subscriber and I look forward to watching more of your videos. I'm a big fan of Martijin Doolard and Ana's Bushcraft. I will be your next fan too 😊.
Hola me facinan este tipo de videos, la restauración de una casa de piedra y sobre todo el tipo de lugar las montañas al aire libre, ver una restauración al aire libre, saludos desde CD de México
I’ve been watching Luca Ventrella Outdoors for the last few years doing similar. Then Martijn Doorlard came along but I can’t really take to him. Luca is more personable in my opinion. Anyway, I’m a new subscriber Travis and I wish you the best of luck. It’s great seeing the stone walls being able to breathe again after you strip away the weeds
I look forward to seeing what you’re going to do with this ruin. Might I suggest some voice-overs or a bit an explanation as to your plan and what takes you’re currently working on. Good luck!
Hi. Got recommended after martijns’ latest. Immediately impressed with your digger work, obviously not your first rodeo 😂. Then the capture of the little things (Flowers and view) by your camera woman, wife?. Then the beauty of the building you are revealing. Immediate subscription from me. I wish you both the best and look forward to following your journey. 😊🎉
I wonder how far you are from Martijn? I don't want to compare, you are your own channel and will renovate in your own way. I hope we get an introduction to you and your partner! I know you are posting this for family but I have a feeling that many will want to travel this journey with you. We would love to see what your vision is for the house, the landscape, and the interior. It's wonderful that you have access to electricity (I assume those are electric lines running through the land in the background) and that you have a beautiful stream running through the property. Hopefully you don't have too many issues with the local geometra, seems they have pretty strict rules as to what you can and can't do. Cheers and we look forward to watching your journey!
Good luck. I have to admit being a bit worried when you started using the backhoe right at the edge of the foundation. In any event, it is good to see people putting effort into these old stone buildings. Italy has so many of them. It is common to see some of them stabilized and put up for sale... but taking them on is a real commitment.
I subscribed. Please give a short explanation about what your doing and why. A roll over cage back on that mini would be nice to see. Good luck to you on your project!
What timeline are we starting with? Great that you are clearing and grading before construction starts. What does local permits or zoning allow you to do? What's your plans before the first winter storm? How accessible are utilities and the nearest towns and stores for supplies? Promising that a stream runs through the property. What's the wildlife like? Any identifiable fruit trees or orchards?
Gracias
It's Sad to see you spraying Glyphosate in such pure natural place, specially close to a spring. Apart from that, I wish you courage in your renovation.
Ciao, I recognized the place because I was looking for the future to do the same thing, where I live and where I grew up is the most expensive place ever unfortunately it is impossible 200K would not be enough for the same thing, being alone for me it was too expensive for the size and the conditions in which it is, funny to find the first video on youtube recognizing immediately from the photos, do you intend to live off grid? Did you buy the small excavator? Good luck for this fantastic adventure!
Ciao Thank-you, yes, it's definitely a big venture for anyone. A forever home for us though italy is some where we love, and the mountains are where my hobbies are most enjoyable yes the digger I've had for many years ideally need to upsize but not until the inside is Complete its good size machine to fit in the house at moment 💙 yes your also correct it's a massive event even getting to the house most cars can't drive there at present you have to walk some of road with tools your pretty worn out on arrival but this is the fun for me just in them first few days I was hit with many walls to over come I will show more of this as time goes forward
Thank God I read your response : "Salt and vinegar" was used. Evenso... better get used to gardening. If it isn't pulled out, the bramble will just grow back in no time... :-))))
Best of luck! Looks like you have a ton of work to do and skills to pull it off. One observation, you are also a a fantastic cross road for making a channel that people will watch. Consider that opportunity, as you’ll want to be thoughtful in crafting a channel that talks to us, the viewers, and gives us a bit of background on why and how you are making it happen. Gotta be an actor! Last, I’m a licensed building contractor in California. I know what I’m doing and can determine pro vs novice builders. You are clearly high level, as seen by your equipment handing of the bobcat. So, explain who you are and what you are up to. We’d love to know! As reference, take a look at the early episodes of Sampson Boat with Leo Sampson fixing up Talley Ho. He is an excellent videographer and can teach you plenty. Best of luck.
Hey yes I'm just putting ideas together still in shock over the Positivity I will have to just get little better on my editing I will have to build some confidence and just have a talk to explain the end goal to every one, the walk up to the property is definitely a challenge so I'm just in middle of fixing up an old 1950s dumper to help me out maybe I should document this 😊 because it's not just about building its everything invloved to
Ive been eatching Martijn as well. What he has done is a huge amount and others shoukd aim to check his site out for helpful hints. He actually gets helpers yo help with jobs that need more thsn one person. A bit later on you might care to think about doing the same,!

Great to see. I’ve spent two years watching Martijn Doolard do a similar renovation. Looking forward to this.

Per prima cosa benvenuti in Italia e complimenti per la vostra nuova sfida di vita 😉👍❤💪👏
I would have used a herd of Alpine Goats with electric fencing. Not as fast but definitely cuter. Looking forward to more videos!
Was he spraying poison 😢
What a great project you have! Looking forward to follow you. Good luck!
Hi from Scotland. I also watched Martijn Doorland renovate the first of two stone houses. He has just finished the first one. I am looking forward to your journey restoring your stone cabin.

What a difference a day makes. ❤
Great project. You only need 3 things for this: time, money and skills. I wish you perseverance and much joy in this difficult work.
This house is stunning. Congrats. Looking forward to watching you renovating it. Best wishes 👍
Watching you use the excavator with such expertise is a joy!
Thankyou
Fun to watch you getting better at running your digger. Best wishes
Hi from New Zealand! I'm looking forward to watching you build your dream home.
That beautiful stream would be my happy place!

Just started following. Exciting, best of luck to your beginnings. Please don't get discouraged by negative people on here. You do you. ☺️
I hope the spray is Salt Water, Vinegar and a touch of dish soap? Remembering to not spray when it is raining.

Doesn’t the digger have widening tracks? They narrow down to allow doorway access and move outward to avoid tipping.
