I'm a UK melanated brother who has lived in Asia for more than 5 years. This is one of the best podcast interviews (Daniel is a great guest, very authentic) I've watched in a long time. Glad I subscribed, keep up the fantastic work Peris!!!
i've learned a lot from his story. I watched the part one and half of the part three in one time and didn't have time to watch the rest but his story was so Great that it hooked my mind that I was keeping reminding myself to come back and watch the rest. Also he has such a healthy and inspiring youthful kinda energy that gives me the courage to fight back so many things in my life.
Dan, you were literally someones hero and you don't know it! She was trapped! Imagine how hard it was for her to be honest with you, someone she has feelings for, let alone her dad!! I hope only good things come your way!!
I know it was a hard ordeal for you but I feel so grateful you were there for that girl. It's not easy to even see you're being taken advantage of at that age. I'm so glad she was strong enough to let you know, take your advice, and tell her dad of all people. I'm sure her father was grateful too. Really enjoyed this guest! Good episode!
Peris, I am so happy the mics worked perfectly for this two-part 🫖 tea party, because this was some HOT drama 🫣. The situation that school owner/Principal put Daniel and his ex in would be a big lawsuit here in the U.S: creating a hostile work environment, intimidation, wrongful termination, and most of all s*xual harassment 😤. While I truly enjoy my visits to South Korea, I'm not as resilient as Daniel. The work culture there would eat me alive 😅.
Omg Dan, you have the patience of a saint. The situation with your GF and how you handled it 👏👏👏. I thought holy wow! As for your old boss he really did you a favor in letting you go. Also, the illustration of the boy and the fish!!! I loved that. I can listen to you talk for hours. You really have a talent. Your book when it’s finished is going to be a best seller!! Thank you,
This true story could be a movie. There's lots of drama....Write the transcript Dan and go see a movie producer !! Good job Peris for letting him talk it out. It made your interview so interesting. I would never have the courage that Dan had to tell my story.
This conversation was precious to listern to. It's so true that times have changed a lot! I have to agree, I wouldn't assist someone involved with me that would set themselves out like that. But the compassion factor is a must! But what Daniel did was the right thing to do, turning a blind eye would have destroyed that girls life. Compared to today's standards, I had my kids very young. My daughter is 22 and I'm in my 40's, but I was raised in a culture of living responsibly! I can hardly emagine how that girls parents must feel. A 46 year old man taking advantaged of a young, impressionable girl. I was 22 when I got married! I think, being a high preforming athlete throughout my teenage growing up years, made me overly responsible! The mom's at school were often older than me and I felt them to be selfish and immature at times. You can be youthful in your heart, but take responsibility! It's not that difficult. I enjoyed the depth and maturity of your conversation, thanks for sharing! You can never read enough, grow enough. It's your gift to yourself! Parents aren't hard and without compassion when they don't show it outwardly, they are only more experienced and have been bitten once or twice more! It does get boring without challenges, it's in uncomfortable situations that people get cut like a precious gem! Like the refiners fire, it kind of knocks the things out of us, that aren't that beautiful. What you did, David, was selfless. God bless you for that.
I love your energies combined 🥺. Recently watched other streams and podcasts with Daniel in them and I really subscribe to his mindset after going through hardships of my own. The fact that he helped that girl probably swayed her life into a better path. Can’t even think about how things might have done down for her if she fell into the trap that older director laid down for her…
Daniel, you're such a vibe! Admire your transparency, your growth and your story-telling skills *chef's kiss* 😀 I was locked-in from Part 1. I also enjoyed the energy between you two, engaging, encouraging and non-judgemental. Trust me, you will STILL be getting your ish together in some aspects of your life in your mid and late 30s. And that's fine too as, as long as you are ambitious and continuing to grow as a person, you will always be trying to improve in some way. I wish you both success in your endeavours! #UKViewer
Listen, we drink a LOT of tea in the UK and when I tell you, the amount of TEA in Daniel's story!! The boss is a nasty piece of work! I admire Daniel for helping his ex in that situation. A lot of guys probably unpon hearing she was cheating would not have been interested in hearing anything further but he saw beyond that to the messed up manipulative situation she was in and helped by getting her out of the hotel. I am glad though that he cut ties after that and left it in the past. This is possibly my favourite episode so far, or it is in the top two...and it's not two. ;-)
Listen! This felt that I was listening to a K-drama. I’ve pictured all the scenes in my head believe me! Such a great storyteller. Great episode Paris. I just started watching your videos and I’m really enjoying them.
Today is the first time I'm watching one of your interviews and this was intense! I started with part one and almost lost it when it ended and started frantically looking for part 2. Wow!
Unfortunately, that this why older men find it easy to prey on younger women in their 20s. Because of the certain nativity at that age. It's like a perfect storm brewing because in your 20s you think you've reach maturity and often think parental advice is outdated. That's makes the persuasion and manipulative ideas easy to absorb. This was a great conversation. Thank you both 😊
I'm an creative writing storyteller, and his story was interesting amazing and the way he told his experiences was wondering amazing... I listened just before falling asleep.❤❤❤
These two episodes were so good Peris! Keep up the the good work. I'll always be cheering for you😊. And Daniel was such a good guest and his story is very inspirational. I'd definitely watch the drama and read the book😅
Wow....Loved this episode so much.Dan is such a great storyteller To me,you have your shit together. You definitely a very mature young man.Lots of young men can learn from you.
Wow, great analogy with the 12 year old boy and the fish. I can see and understand why his old students loved him, amazing formula for a good teacher. 🙏🏾 But ohhhh my heavenly father, this was a crazy story and also such a recurring problem where pervert bosses abuse their power for their s#ksual gratification. Hope everybody can heal from their pasts. Stay safe y'all ❤
This was a great interview. It had me hooked all the way to the end! Following and subscribing to Daniel’s social media platforms and to Korea Unfiltered.
Thank you Peris for your interviews.I am going through depression and very far from my family so i am dieing inside but still has to put on a normal face at work.I think this interview was put here purposely for me.I now know that i will go through this. Thanks❤
Wow yea his life story of lessons was so intriguing to hear. Yes everyone goes through times but learning to love yourself through it instead of letting it break you down is something everyone should see and know that you are wiser when you experience things, and it makes you stronger. Keep up the great Dan. You should write and I'm a fan now I'll be looking for your work
Wow, what a story Daniel! You are also very wise and a great storyteller! Thank you for sharing and hopefully you will have better and more positive experiences with women. Peris, the audio was very low in this video. Could you please adjust the audio in future video's?
Dan, I’m sorry you went through that headache with that ex. Now you gain some wisdom, and you should have left that girl (edit: immediately) for a better partner, and you should have found a better job right away, and tell the whole school that the boss was cheating on his partner to put more headache on him. Plus, you should have told the dude’s wife so he can’t just go home and sleep well while y’all were working
55:42 Nah, it's millions of us at this point--about 2 million or so. We were 4% of a population of 50 million people back in 2018~19 or so. And even though quite a few people left during the *panini* there are a lot coming over as students, and more of us have F visas now compared to then.

Daniel is a decent guy. She cheated on a good one. Be respectful and loyal in your relationship y'all. It's true money buy people and the law in Korea so you won't be given any real justice. When you work and live in Korea a lot of stuff is K-drama chaos. It's a good thing that despite not being taught to be sympathetic or empathetic Daniel is still compassionate. Props to him!
absolutely kdrama effects :) dan, you should see the positive side, if you didn't talk to the boss, maybe your ex would cheat months, years. Ah boy, most of the girls or boys forget all the time, there are lots of beauty or handsome, kind boys and girls.
Daniel, you did save her. Your story about the fish on a hook made her really think and call her father. You were a class act the entire time. I commend you. You are not csah, you used sound judgement and your heart. Csah's are simpletons doing things for validation. Your decisions were from a genuine place of caring. Don't change your heart while you grow in life.
I think the host missed the point.....The ex-girl was groomed from the beginning- it does not sound like she was willingly wanting to engage in this crap! Hats off to you Dan, I would've lost my job from laying the smack down on that guy 😤
@@Koreaunfiltered nah I heard you sis and that was in response to the earlier commentary of "she did this all while being with you"- clearly obvious that poor girl was exploited- not condoning "the affair" and wished ex-girl rang bells earlier, but hey, seems like everything happens for a reason and that poor girl probs take many many years to heal and overcome, and would've been a shitty time for Dan but thank the heavens its put him on path where he needed to be ☺
