    Unless it has recently changed, the Citadel, Geforce (same gun same company) are not rated for slugs. Unfortunately they do not advertise that very well. Nice review.

    • @BuckeyeBallistics
      @BuckeyeBallistics  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Where did you find that information? I read the entire manual and it only warns about steel shot in relation to choke sizes. Perhaps they changed it then?

      @@BuckeyeBallistics I actually had the same shotgun and after shooting a couple slugs the barrel had a 4' crack in it near the front. I called the company and they told me about the barrel not taking slugs. I noticed the same thing you did about the thin barrel. It's just a heads up in case you have any issues and to be safe.

    • @BuckeyeBallistics

    I have an FX3 20 gauge, semi-auto shotgun that was Turkish made. It works! I never tried shooting any 3-inch shells through it but it cycled 4-shot, slugs and 3-buck w/o any issues and considering I got it for about $150 (total) I can't complain. I'd certainly consider it to be one of my favorite Gunbroker buys.

    Other channels: We've wrapped new clear ballistic with bacon and prime rib, then covered it with a new leather jacket. We'll take one shot at it, then throw it all in the trash.
    Guns&Cars: We're just going to use this paper target we used in two other videos. This is my last box of ammo and it's 6 days until payday.

      Feel free to donate to the channel if this is a complaint. That'd be $120 for a new clear gel block, $8 for a pack of bacon, $50 minimum for the jacket, and about $30-$40 for the prime rib. Oh plus gas money and ammo. Just round it off and call it $200. So when can I expect the check?

    Hello, I have this exact shot gun (except it has a muzzle brake)made by dickinson and it is great. I would not worry about the barrel I have sent hundreds of 3" mags and it still functions as new. I also have thousands of 2 3/4" slugs and 00 buck down the barrel, some real heavy loadings. I have a dickinson 12 gauge with turkish walnut stocks and 18" battle barrel with heat shield, this is my favorite defense/battle shotgun and I own winchester, mossberg and remington shotguns, Thanks for the video. P.S. , the wood stock one was a combo 18" defense barrel and a 26" or 28" bird barrel I have never used the bird barrel it did come with a couple chokes.

      I'm still using it in videos. It has held up well to several slugs, including some 3" magnums. Only problem I've had is the rail ripped off in one of those videos where I was torture testing a scope- scope flew off with the rail and smashed into the ground. Do not mount anything heavy on the rail... it doesn't actually screw into the reciever.

    Does the barrel have any proof mark's.
    Is the Scope Base metal or plastic?

    @joeylopina ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Great review! How about an update? How's it holding up?

    • @BuckeyeBallistics
      @BuckeyeBallistics  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well I discovered that you souldn't put anything heavy on the rail (scope). The weight of the scope ripped the cheap rail right off and it slammed into the ground. Now the rail won't stay on at all because it's not actually screwed into the reciever- it's a compression fit via the screws pushing *against* the reciever and not actually going into it. I plan on drilling and tapping it and putting better screws in it to resolve this.
      Other than that it still runs good, runs pretty smooth now that it's well lubed and broken in with 75-100 shots through it now. It's holding up to slugs so far, even a few 3" magnums that I put down it last week. You can see the gun in action again in a few of the videos I have in the "caliber comparisons" playlist on the channel, and I have more comming still. Pay close attention and you will see the rail is missing in those videos lol.
