Fun History Fact: the Great Sphinx of Giza is over twenty meters tall, with a face roughly six meters high, by four meters wide. At that scale, if the sphinx were to have human hair instead of a headdress, and it happened to have Laith's face, its hair would be four hundred and sixty-four meters high, and interrupt radio signals across northern Africa.
Exponentially?! We're in a real double-the-grain-of-rice-for--each-square-on-a-chessboard scenario, here. That could be all the known hair in the universe for all we know.
17:48 "Aw look at that the Byzantines have turned up to stand next to me. Just make me suffer attrition." Laith when a Roman hears there's a chance to sack Carthage they're going to go sack Carthage
Just smiling at the fun thought of the Mamluks surviving, building the suez canal 400 years early and basically invalidating the whole premise of the colonization of the americas and africa xD
They would probably restrict the portuguese and the spainish,They would allow the venetians though since they were on very good terms,Which would basically throw us into our timeline with a few differences.@@bakrahabibi5471
@@bakrahabibi5471 Absolutely. Would be interesting to know how probable that would've been aka. how tolerant the mamluk sultanate was towards christians IRL.
"Its hard to be me" He says while literally steamrolling everyone in war declaring distance. And he did all of that while playing Ottoman bullying simulator. I liked this one, it included alot of conquest and cool events + Suez Canal. Lets see what you come up with next. 😄
Did you know that the Ottomans also had a canal project but not in the suez but between the volga and don rivers. There is already a canal between the rivers today afaik but I think it is interesting that they thought about it 4-5 centuries ago so that they could easily sail from the Mediterranean to the Caspian sea.
Actually, there was a canal connecting the Red Sea and Mediterranean sea built hundreds of years before the start date of EU4. Its existence in fact predates the modern suez canal by more than 2000 years. It was fitted with a water lock to prevent salt water from the Red Sea contaminating the arable land in the Nile Delta, and saw intermittent use for hundreds of years, until use was discontinued in 767 AD to prevent supplies from reaching revolts in Medina and Mecca. In other words, building the Suez canal 400 years early isn't even that impressive bro, it should exist in fuckin' Imperator.
Regarding handing over occupation on mass at 34:35 You can hand over multiple occupations by shit clicking each province and changing occupation on on of them.
Hey lint "pro" tip, if your army is movemenat locked into certain province or battle you don't want you can force them to stop by telling to go somewhere only reachable by boats. For example tell your army to go to cyprus when movement locked into battle with ottomans will override the lock and make them go to cyprus. Use it occasionally, it's useful
Came straight to the comments for this one, thought if no one writes i'll do it. Surprising to me that so many people are not aware of this QOL change. It was really painful to do it manually in the past
Fair threat, Algerian, I will like and subscribe to liberate the poor video held hostage. But as a Romanian am eventually going to take something back, some day.
Suez has had some kind of canal for thousands of years. I'm not sure if they managed to connect it all properly. I just know that several empires attempt the project with varying levels of success. Basically, by the time a true canal had been built, a lot of the basic work had already been done.
The Suez (like other channels) have been in the game for ages, you just usually need admin tech 22 and a hefty sum of money for that. With the mission, you can get it much faster and cheaper.
Forgive my lateness, I had a concert to attend too. It went very decent. We were bad on some, good on others, and I made sure to announce that Laith should play a Fire Emblem Game for the 135th day in a row.
why can the mamluks build the suez canal ? because apparently there was a canal connected to a local river, which ran dry, build by the ancient egyptians and then the canal fell into disrepair
I always like playing the Mamluks, they got some much romo to expand and you can beat the Ottomans easy if you dont let them grow to much. Also everybody wants to be your vassal.
I did this in one of my Rome runs and just eventually gave up on France and Iberia and conquered Persia and India instead. It was a lot more fun than the repetitive Spain and France wars.
I wonder if Rome ever would've fallen if they really had built the canal. That would've made them so rich and powerful as the door to the east would truly become open at just the right time
@@finnalsop7111 yea once they get to the new world they are op i owned all of the byzantine and most of roman empire and they still had more troops with their new world colonies persia and india are a lot more fun to kill.

Since it's so easy to get the Suez you should do like a three canals speedrun, build them all as soon as possible.
could tie in the whole hre emperor mamluks strat to get kiel faster

Laith having a girlfriend (?) be as nerdy as him with paradox games was a welcome surprising wholesome moment
What’s that have to do with dating?
Completely hugboxing the Ottomans within 5 years was really impressive.
Laith is looking more and more like a person from Papua New Guinea

You don't edit your videos Laith?
How long before someone started editing them for you? Do you do a 50/50 revenue split or more like 70/30?
Lore of WHY can you do THIS 400 years early in EU4 1.36? Momentum 100
Seeing AI Adal form Somalia was epic, also haha long hair Laith
Good guy hungry. Saving the ottomans by forcing them to "surrender" XD
My hot take is that it should be possible to rebuild the Canal of the Pharaohs in CK3.
Laith your haircut looks great
Laith over here looking like piter dvries from dune😂
There was a Mamlukean dynasty in Dehli at one point in history so if you play more of the campaign conquering Northern India would be appropriate
Who's this jimmy neutron look alike Laith impersonator?
I dont like threats therefore I will only watch half this video! xD
Is Laith's hair lightly blond or is it just the lights? Or am I crazy
It would be better if you could choose who gets to use the Suez and if they do they have to pay for each ship
only about 1000 years after the egyptians did it the first time
