Portable CW using Icom IC-705 - WWFF park activation

- CW at 19 WPM using Icom IC-705, end-fed half wave antenna and BaMaKey TP-II twin paddle key. World Wide Flora and Fauna (WWFF) activation of Blue Gum Hills Regional Park (VKFF-1778) located west of Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia.
Activation on Sunday 8 January 2023. Operating on 40m (7.033 MHz), 20m (14.065 MHz) and 15m (21.065 MHz). My CW is a bit rusty after the new year break.

Thank you, James, for another video! Very useful! On 40 m most of your correspondents had key problems but you went through QSOs like nothing happened. Been in such situation on the other side, ended up holding one of the wires with another hand, while keying my straight key with major one.
My CW was a bit rusty in this video, it was my first activation after the new year break. I always bring a spare key with me now just in case I have key issues. However in this case it was operator error rather than issues with my key. Thanks for watching, 73

About how long does a battery like that last you for an operation out?
The 12.8V 7AH LiFePO4 battery lasts about 3 hours when operating at 10W transmit power. The IC-705 also has an internal battery which gives an addition 2-3 hours operating at 5W. More than enough for a portable activation, 73
What is 44?
“44” is often used to sign off (i.e. best regards) for World Wide Flora and Fauna (WWFF) activations, sent as “73 44” or just “44”. It is not usually used with other types of activations such as POTA or SOTA
