I think judging distances should be part of the game -- like it is on the tours. If you're playing a match, keep it part of the game. I think it's much more fun that way. The courses do give you some distance markers. This was a lot of fun to watch. Can't wait to see who comes out on top.
Best video seen on TH-cam. Excellent comments and strategies. Tricky course and greens. Top class filming, close ups and well edited. Like Jamie too. Tks. Can’t wait for Part 2.
Perranporth is another really fun track if you’re ever back down Cornwall way. Not long, but a wild adventure and you might want to play with another local, there’s plenty binds shots to be had. Good luck in the upcoming months, James. I’m looking forward to following along and getting some inspiration to work on lowering my handicap.
Amazing course. On my list of uk links to play this year. Great golf shots and great putting efforts made from both of you. It’s nice to watch two pro golfers as it gives me ideas and tips of my own game. Thanks and can’t wait for part 2. 🏌️♂️👍
Been following you for a while and really enjoyed part one of this vlog. The lad your playing with seems a good bloke. Great to get some insight into shot choice throughout and will be clubbing up more with my game rather than choosing a club that I have to smash to get the yardage I want.
Nice golf gents, well played though I am a little disappointed that Big Oggie didn't make a cameo appearance. West Cornwall looks to a course that you need plenty of local knowledge, with very little fairway just different grades of rough!
Swing continues to look more controlled, especially approach three quarter type. More club, less power=more control, especially in the wind. Careful of the stance as it appears closed on all shots but it could be the camera. Slight left foot flair out might be something to experiment with. I believe it will give you much more control in hitting it straighter. Like you said, second hole putter was a short pitch all day long; try to hole them, everything is an opportunity! Jamie seems to be a good guy to play with.
Lookup West Cornwall or Mullion Golf Club. They have a great 2 day, 3 man tournament known as ‘Coast to Coast’ in the height of summer. You get food at each venue and top prizes for I think around only £40 or £50 per player. A great weekend of golf on two top links/ cliff top tracks. Be quick though, spaces are few and far between and tee times from 0700 to 1500 at each venue means a full field on both days.
Enjoyable watch & shame one or two shots were missed. Really surprised you didn't chip on two I think. The course looks like it is holding up really well.
What a gorgeous course. Probably won't be this year but sometime in the next couple of years I must spend a couple of months home in North Devon and play some of the great courses in Devon and Cornwall.
Great vid mate. Good to see you playing West cornwall. Was 2 or 3 groups in front of you. A short course but by no means easy. Don't really need driver until 9th hole. Tactically played. Keep up content mate. All best for your 2020 venture playing!
Excellent vlog love it proper golf cheers looking forward to the next part I thought you was trying a fade nice to see your not hitting a full irons ie 9 irons 145 yards
Mate, when you walk of the first, that beach is Carbis Bay. St Ives is further west than that. It’s definitely not St Ives Beach...just as well he ain’t going to be a geography teacher...
Almost, Carbis Bay is further along the coast towards St Ives. The beach you can get to by walking on the path that cuts through the 4th and 9th holes is Porthkidney. Then the far side of the river Hayle you’ve got the Towans stretching down to Gwithian beach.
@@JamesWiltshire Times have changed... Crossfield might almost be the same still but when I look at your path, Flowers or even "The Mapp", goddess me haha It has been a long 6+ years. Excited to see where you are going!
If you’re going to try to play professionally I think you need to learn the knock down shot with your wedges. You always seem to want to club down, swing hard and you end up missing the green from 130 yards. Just my $.02. Your power is impressive though
I know bro it would literally take hours in after effects to do it! It's hard enough consistently uploading whilst trying to spend enough time practicing as it is. I'll see what I can do
Watching golf about to go out and play golf it's a cool 26°c here brrrrr 😂😂😂 cool to hear the strategies instead of just bang the driver as far as you can.
Proper golfers, good to watch.
Great to see West Cornwall played how it should be as opposed to me hacking my way around the course lol great video gentlemen x

You're going to love the content this year 🙌
These are top vlogs, we get to see quality golf with good players and also various courses, good luck James!

Glad you're enjoying it, big year 2020
I agree!!
Birdie Dave agreed

Cheers Luke, I've heard about all the blind shots at Perranporth! Could be interesting, good luck this year

Great to see how you both manage the course in challenging conditions. Great content!

We're playing again next week at trevose!
Great to see a local course on TH-cam, great for course knowledge when I play West Cornwall..👍🏻

Great golf, nice to see a dry golf course this time of year
Nice content mate! As an 18 handicapper, that seemed like some Half decent golf in challenging conditions!
Enjoyed it. 👍
Nice Camera work James. The quality looks good and nice fraing shots and zooming! Good work!! Nice match!
I love hearing how different the style of play and greens are. They’re talking about how quick those greens are and where I’m from I play on 10-11s
Played this course last Feb. Favourite course I’ve played yet, hope you enjoyed 👌🏼
Yeah a lot of character to it!
James, absolutely ridiculously tight fairways for sub 6k yds. I bet when the grass is up in the summer, that's a proper test!
Cheers from Kansas!
Yeah typical short tight English links!
James you beauty. Only seen the first hole so far and your putting stroke is pure. Best I’ve seen from you
Thanks mate, it's way better now since this video tbf
Enjoyable watch & shame one or two shots were missed. Really surprised you didn't chip on two I think. The course looks like it is holding up really well.
Another great one, can’t wait for the next.
your videos are quality mate, good luck on your route to professional golf👍🏻
Cheers Aaron!
Nice one James. It can be done without a Bushnell!
James, I'm absolutely loving the quality golf. Thank you.
More coming
Swing looking more controlled.. more potential now .. great vid dude xx
Looks like a tough course, well done lads
Playing this lovely course in July and cant wait
Lovely part of the country St Ives... Holidayed there on a few occasions but never played golf there... Looked alot drier than it is up here atm 👍
Yeah very lucky with how dry this plays
What a gorgeous course. Probably won't be this year but sometime in the next couple of years I must spend a couple of months home in North Devon and play some of the great courses in Devon and Cornwall.
It's worth a trip in the summer for sure
Loving this. It’s golf. Too much from elsewhere at the moment is all gimmicks. Best you tube content is from down south!
Enjoyed this one, bring on part 2

Thanks mate, yeah I made a mistake in trying to knock it on 8 when there was no need. Nice course
Cracking looking course and good match. 👍
swing is looking great James!
Short course but looks very tough with all them blind shots! Great video, looking forward to part 2 🤗
Excellent vlog love it proper golf cheers looking forward to the next part I thought you was trying a fade nice to see your not hitting a full irons ie 9 irons 145 yards
Loving this one, two solid golfers
Any idea what irons Jamie games? They sound pure
Steele Vantre currently gaming Ping i210 irons. Looking at going back to blades soon though 👍
Jamie Crocker Golf i do like the harder sound of ping irons but probably won’t change from blades anytime soon
Nice controlled golf!
Just bought my self the skytrak simulator to be my winter coach here in Norway. The course is closed until march :(
Sorry to hear bro!
That wind is no joke.
Let’s go, misses the vlogs.
Lovely course belter views of Hayle Bay 1 of my favs down there
Playing most of my golf in the states, I don't think I'd be able to ever get lined up out there.
That chunky shot on #2 nearly broke my heart. Lol
😢
played here before and cannot lie wish i could play it like this lol
Haha what happened to the guys putt on the 3rd 🤔😂
What a fantastic idea asking for games from your subscribers great content
Glad you're enjoying it
Such a beautiful course..seems like a lot of the course around you are. Can I join you all one day?? Lol
This course looks a nightmare if it’s your first time playing there
Lol this is a hell of a short course. Long iron, wedge, putter.
with shorter irons u need to open ur stance a little or aim a little more left because of the deloft it will go straight
Needs shot tracer even just on the blind or interesting holes - will raise your vids to next level
Great work
great vlog mate

Nice to see you play James! Have been following since Gorilla times :)
Thanks for watching all this time mate, you deserve a medal

Birdaeeeee on the first 👏👏👏👏 what I like to see sir
Not a bad sttaaaeert!
I’d be on the bushes lad .... 😂... keep up the grind big fella !!
And throws it away the very next hole with a stupid decision, the fuck would you putt that?!?
What’s made you switch your putter grip back to standard
Feels way better, had a breakthrough with putting since this video which will be in the next vlog!
Thats home! X
Great I live in Cornwall would love to see u play my home course newquay golf course
I'm mates with Chris Gill I'll have a word with him!
I've never played in Europe, are these greens typical?
It's mid winter after one of the wettest spells on record. Most course are shut. West Cornwall is holding up very well here
@@JamesWiltshire ahh I see. Thanks for the prompt response! Good work and good luck!
Heck yea!
Also I always carry a Garmin s10 watch in the bag incase my range finder dies on me. Touch wood it hasn’t yet.
So he made the putt??? 11:17
Cody Allen nope, just missed the birdie putt 👍

Yeah swing was still way out here! Actually had a break through recently with those shots
Your tempo is excellent, which is partly why you hit it so far but its that back up with your head mate. It's killing you.
Need a working bushnell for next time mate 😂
Fucking right 😂😂
Can you add the ball tracer for the shots? It would help immensely. Check out Golfholics channel. They do a good job of highlight the ball.

boom, take his money LOL
Hey James maybe you should make your stock shot a cut cheers!
Mate that was never a putt hahaha
😂😂😂 Literally
@@JamesWiltshire This was filmed before the short game session - I hope
SMaSHiNg!

If I leave my bushnell at home I use a free app called Hole 19 works well enough
Good shout for next time!
