I just got silent black inks for my k2 and it's quieter than my already pretty silent laptop keyboard. Certainly quieter than a standard membrane. Not mushy whatsoever, though I actually like the slightly softer bottom out. Even unlubed they are very slick, though I can tell that lubing would make them quite a bit quieter and smoother.

Strongly considering replacing them with good and properly lubed stabs.
The deskmat was from a tiny groupbuy someone ran on Reddit. Many people have been interested in it after seeing it on my desk, so asked the creator, but didn't hear about any plans to run it again so far, sadly. And yeah, I messed up the finger-snapping, tried again, and so spam-snapping happened. 😅
It makes me wonder how useful snapping is as a sound baraometer before a typing test.... two different people snapping can produce very different volumes.

Ok a couple of things I have come here to comment on: 1. 2:30, yeah those are for sure the silent reds, cherry reds sound very high pitched and scratchy, not silent. I think the bassy sound might also be from the fact that the mic is placed on the desk and is such capturing a lot of the reverb from the desk. 2. 6:55 Fun Fact, NK Dry and Silk Series are both manufactured by everyone's favourite; JWK. So yeah they are pretty much just another alpaca recolour with a few minor differences as well! 3. 11:09 The 'Holy' in 'Holy T1' comes from the fact that they have a Halo stem in them (from Drop Halos or Trues), these, like the Holy Pandas have quite a high pitched sound especially in the spacebar! And thats it! The keyboard I'm typing on is a cheap as shit mech from Kogan so if you ever want to hear what the worst mechanical keyboard in the world sounds like on one of these, let me know LMAO
Yea I'm stuck at 100wpm cause I only use at most 4 or 5 fingers but not consistently. But also just got the keyboard a few days ago and am still getting used to where everything is.
Not gonna lie, I remember when ya played tf2 and what not and I stopped watching most of those videos a long time ago. For some odd reason I thought of ya today and wondered how things are and oh my I may not know much about keyboards but I love this stuff. It reminds me a bit of how I love my gamecube controllers as a smash player and I customize it to how I want it. Quality of these videos are top notch and I will be watching more and learning along the way
