Jay, this is a crisp , clean and pretty rare example of Ford at the top of their game. There's no doubt that you constantly seek and obtain the best out there and this is a perfect example . Thanks Jay.

Greetings .... Another outstanding car! And another of my all-time favorites from the awesome sixties .... I saw an earlier post about this one being born at a time when Ford was on their game .... How true!! I think Ford really became one of the serious front-runners in around 63, with their beautiful Galaxy .... Then came the 64-67 line-up, with this Fairlane tucked square in the center of their very best years. What an awesome color for this one!! Very well presented .... Beautiful restoration, with paint and metal in flawless condition. What a beautiful Fairlane. Thank you for sharing.

My 67 Fairlane GT 390 335hp came with a round stick factory shifter. I replaced with a Hurst. LOVED that car.

    Sweet Fairlane...
I owned a 67" back in the day Gr8 car for Sure ...
The color almost looks like Spring time Yellow...
I didn't know that Ford had Summer time Yellow though...
    Nice Ride .👌✌🇺🇸

No exhaust microphone? That's one of my favorite parts of the video.

The audio is still likely mixed in there but was never cut to it exclusively.

My father owned one identical to this... it's the car I grew up in from 3 to 16 in... he sold it right before I got my driver's license he definitely didn't want me driving it. I've seen him bust Impalla's with the 396 4 speeds butts time and time again in that ride... I would absolutely love to own that ride !!!

Beautiful car and my absolute dream vehicle. But, I would love to own one in a pro street resto-mod with all new ponies, suspension, and technology. Hmmmmm, maybe in my next life......lol

One of these Fairlanes was the third fastest street car I ever rode in. The fastest street car I ever rode in was a mid-90's Mitsubishi 3000 with a hopped up motor (and a dual clutch system) that had over 600 hp (in a little car that weighed less than a Volkswagen Super Beetle) The second fastest car I ever rode in was a 1966 Chevelle Super Sport with a hopped up 427 that had over 500 hp. The third fastest car I ever rode in was one of these, which was a 1966 Ford Fairlane which had a hopped up 390 motor that was hopped up from the factory. As I recall it was pushing 400 hp. That was in the summer of 1965.
Me and a buddy of mine were hitch hiking from Alabama to California and these two truck drivers from Michigan driving one of these picked us up in the middle of nowhere somewhere in Oklahoma and they took us a couple of hundred miles into Texas (and let us out in the boonies in the middle of nowhere). The car they were driving was a test car made by Ford Motor Company. Ford Motor company had hired them to test drive that car, and they drove the living shit out of it. That ride was one of the most fun rides I ever had. As I recall, they got that car up to over 140 mph. That was exceptionally fast for any car back in the mid-60's. Nowadays it is a humdrum speed for street cars.
Back in the early 90's I owned a bullet bike for awhile (a 1987 Honda VFR 700) and it was quite a bit faster than any of the above mentioned cars, but I sold it within a short while because I was outrunning the cops every time I got on it and I was afraid that I was going to either wind up under the jail, or dead. But that bike was far and away the most fun vehicle I ever rode in, or on.
I'm 73 years old now so after that I learned how to curtail my lust for speed on the streets, and since then I've mostly owned paw-paw type cars, vans, pickup trucks, and grocery-getter type cars. But I have to admit, that if I had the chance to get back on one of those bullet bikes to take it for a short spin, I'd do it without batting an eyelash.

I can say one thing about volocars is that whatever the price is you're getting a bona fide clean Concours car there is no monkeying around you're getting a straightforward clean car where whatever the prices you will not have to put $10 in it other than gas the car will not ask you for nothing serious other than its oil change and gasoline for the next 5 years guaranteed just look at the quality of the car displayed it doesn't get any cleaner than this where are they finding these car God only knows but if it's on their site you can guarantee its 100% through and through the best you going to find in the country if you find one that's better is because it just came off the line

How can this be described as TWO CARS? There is a Failrlane GT and GT-A, and a Fairlane 500. But not a Fairlane 500 GT-A . I OWNED a 1966 Fairlane GT..😱🤯🤔🤔
