    I had a 2010 fury. It loved curvy roads. In 2011 i road from Bakersfield Ca to just outside Roanoke Va and back to Bakersfield. Yeah my butt got sore but I would do it again. By the way I was 60 years old at the time.

    Having owned both, I can't tell you that one is better than the other. The Sportsters braking took some planning. The engine shook like a wet dog, but when you started it, it EXPLODED into life, not purred. It was ALIVE! You FEEL an EVO start up. The HD turns WAY tighter u-turns than the Fury, and takes off from a green light with more pull. Put a Sundowner seat on it, and you have a comfortable, all-day ride. However, my first 1200C had brass in the oil at only 900 miles!!! That's American quality right there. What's brass in the engine? CAM BUSHINGS. A ticking time bomb. They say Harley measures manufacturing clearances in FEET, and they are not far off. my Fury is not really comfortable for more than two hours. Even with the bars pulled back 2" and a new seat, My shoulders and neck get sore. My Fury is water cooled though, so it remains ridable on 100 degree days with barely any heat on my legs. You better enjoy attention at the gas pumps though! I get someone asking about the Fury at 9 out of 10 fill-ups. HDs are pretty too, but cagers think they all look the same, and I used to get cut-off all the time on my Sporty, loud pipes or not. The fury gets a double take, as it's not something you see every day.

    I have a 2019 Fury, I've had other bikes and really enjoy the Fury, I get more looks and questions about the Fury then my last HD which was a Soft tail standard I loved that bike to, not many things you can add to the Fury limited, but you don't need much and you have the reliability of the Honda.

    I have a 2010 Sabre which is the same, and you are right, taking a U turn with this bike is a pain, but then I am used to smaller bikes, so that might be a factor. I gotta' say that they are a rush to drive on the open road though.

    Remove the saddle bags and the sissy bar from the Fury, it looks much more aggressive when the rear tire is visible, and this bike is for look only not meant to be functional bike, I drove it to 20 mile destination and my body was sore, but it's definitely jaw dropper.

    I have the Honda Sabre 1300, love it over most anything else I've ridden. Ppl ask all the time if it's a Harley, 😆. But more or less, just a scaled down Fury with a larger tank. I jumped at the offer to buy once I found it. Only had 7K miles which is like new for a 10 year old bike. It had issues I could tell previous owner ragged it out, n now just the wear n tears are coming up like fork seals, but overall, a GREAT RIDE! I'll probly own her for life.

    Right now I'm on an Indian Challenger, but it sure would be nice to also have a chopper. Of course custom is where it's at, but I think I'll get a Fury first to experience what a well engineered chopper can steer and stop like. Honda has deep pockets and excellent research and development. Oh ya, and there's a sporty in the video, sorry sporty, you slipped my mind.

    I like the Fury !! .. but I like it without bags and windshield .. the swoopy styling look great . Harley's are just too unreliable. I want a motorcycle that doesn't shake itself apart and becomes a weekend repair project....the Honda does that and looks great and rides great every day every time you get on it !!!

    I forget to mention; Honda put a LIMITER on the Fury. I think it's 100mph, although mine limited out at 95. Not really an issue, if you want fast, get a Concours. I accidently hit 110 casually passing a semi on my Concours. Didn't even know I was up there.

    Harley's are nice bikes, Everybody wants to ride a Harley. the fury is different, looks cool, a lot of plastic, some say only do 100 mph. the sportster will do 110 for sure. why in heck would you want to ride 100 mph on a motorcycle, yeah, it's fun. so is 75 on amotorcycle. the harley you really have to know what to wrench on every now and again. not the furyin Florida, sitting in traffic, the bike will get hot and shut down to avoid over heating(at least that is what i have heard) the fury is water cooled, no over heating. shaft drive fury, no chain tensioner, or worn out belts to deal with. harley parts are expensive, the fury you can get the same parts without paying harley prices. to each their own. i prefer the fury compared every other look alike v twin. nice video though on comparison, makes one consider which one serves the persons interest.

    I have 6 bikes 3 sport bikes an 02 YZF-R1, a 08 kawasaki ZX6R 636, a 2010 Suzuki GSX-R 1000cc. My 3 cruisers, I have a 2014 Honda Fury 1300cc, 2012 Victory Vegas Jackpot 106ci 1731cc, and my 2014 Harley Dyana wideglide 1690cc. Between all 3 cruisers in terms of reliability the Fury is king. In terms of style the Victory is king, in terms of stock sound the Harley is king, in terms of power the Victory is a beast, in terms of Comfort all 3 are pretty equal in my opinion. What I don't under is why they take these big engines and can't get the same Horsepower and speed as my YZF-R1, or my GSX-R 1000cc. You would think a bike with 1731cc's cruiser VS a 1000cc super bike would beat the 1000cc but my R1 is faster than my Victory. Granted the Victory is heavier than the R1 but not by much. The victory is 641pounds the R1 is 423 pounds. The victory is 218 pounds heavier but has an extra 731cc's to makes up the weight difference. If they tuned these cruisers like a super bike you'd have the best of both worlds.

    • @avr8891
      @avr8891  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cruiser have bigger engine because they were designed for long distance, hauling passenger, luggage and heavier frame for better comfort, I’ve seen a lot cruiser pass the 100k miles mark but never seen any sport bike over 50k miles , mostly 35-40k miles then start parting out . Basically the sport bike engine was made to go fast , racing but die quicker than cruiser .

    Nice video! Both bikes are great bikes, hard to choose between the two. I do like the looks of that Honda. That Sportster you have there is actually a Sportster 1200 'Custom', it's not like your typical Sportster. There's a Sportster Iron 883 and 1200, both of which ride terrible compared to this bike. The 1200 Custom is hands down one of the funnest smaller Harleys you can buy, the stock shocks are amazing and its fast and nimble. It's the good suspension and that big fat tire in the front that make it feel really stable on the highway. You can improve the sound of the 1200 Custom by changing out the pipes, but on this bike the muffler system is designed to act like a 'tuning fork', it takes all the vibration out of the engine. If you upgrade to something like the Short Shot exhaust the bike will sound great but will have a bad vibration at certain speeds and RPM. I'd buy the Sportster 1200 Custom for the best ride, I'd get the Honda Fury for better looks between the two. With the Harley you are also buying into the Harley culture, you'll get free beer and food at the dealers and girls in bikinis will wash your bike for free, you won't get that at a Honda dealer LOL.

    I like the looks of the Fury, but like all Japanese bikes, it has no substance. It is way too smooth and quiet. In other words, drop dead boring. You can put an aftermarket exhaust on it, and it will be louder, but still not have a good sound. The Sportster on the other hand has a beautiful sound, and it shakes like a paint mixer. You get a real motorcycle experience from the Sportster. The Fury will get you there and look cool, but that's it.
