Nice Work Schmitty! That's one heck of a 9 Day Loop! I went thru "Hells Canyon" (Sarah Lake Entry Portage - Side - Unamed Lakes) in late June this year. Very tough portages indeed! Will have the video up on the MWMW channel later this year.
what a wonderful trip, truly a joy to watch,i live in oklahoma neighbor but grew up in colorado high country and never caught a lake trout, those were some lunkers.thanks for the videos, looking forward to your next trip.take care.
Thank you for watching! Yes, fishing is great and pressure is light. Pretty clear I am a trout amateur and still had great success. I would imagine someone skilled in that area would really cleanup! Thanks again for watching!
Nice! Did see a gravity filter hanging in a tree? I was in a bit of a rush that morning and left it. Managed to make it the whole trip without losing anything until the last morning! Better than the first I guess 🙂. Thats awesome you heard wolves. I wish I would have. Thank you for watching and commenting, I really appreciate your it!
Dragon flies were a big part of my trip down the Mississippi. They would do things that seemed to scream intelligence. Amazing trip you had, thank you for taking the time to film and share it. Good talking to ya in the comments!
Nice trip! Heading back to Sarah in June for the exact reasons you stated in your summary. Spent a week just on Sarah last year and fell in love. Didn’t even get to explore it all.
@@SoloSchmitty We move pretty high speed, low drag. Got into Sarah on Day 1 but got a tow to PP from LaTourelles. Glad we did, Moose Lake can get angry and it was howling. My kid was sleeping in the bow as we crossed Sarah to our campsite. Great memories.
I thoroughly enjoyed your Quetico 9 day trip. I’ve spent time on several of the lakes you traveled. You dou a great job with the video and narrative. Keep up the great work.
I really appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment! It means alot to hear when people enjoy the content! Videos can’t do that area justice as you know. Thank you!
Enjoyed your video! Enjoyed your trip. Quite ambitious. Wondering what boat you are using? And are you sitting on a canoe seat or on the bottom of the canoe?
Thanks for checking out the series! Maybe a little ambitious for my first trip to Quetico but it worked out! The boat is a Northwind Solo and it does have a standard canoe seat. It just sits a little lower for stability. Holler if you have any other questions.
@@SoloSchmitty thanks for the reply. A little story about a night on Brent, one of my favorite favorite lakes was in my hammock early as a thunderstorm approached after the storm abated. It was quite quiet. As I lay there, I heard the scream of a dying rabbit a couple feet from my head.A wolf had killed the rabbit! Plenty of evidence it was a wolf in the mud the next morning.Don’t see rabbits, too often in Quetico, more often than not on Prairie portage. And to have a wolf that close to my hammock was pretty amazing.
Thats crazy! Just shows you how quiet they can be. You never know what is around! I have had one wolf encounter in BWCA and I will never forget it but luckily it was at a distance (there is a video on my channel)@@rwbesser

Hey! I appreciate you watching and commenting! Yes those lakers are fun! I’m just a little north of you in KS. Thx again!
That was a sweet series. Those Lakers and Walters were awesome. I've heard Quetico is the place to go for fishing, being there's a LOT less pressure.

Thank you friend! I appreciate you watching and commenting!
I just stayed at the same site on Burke two days ago. We didn’t see wolves, but we heard them. I enjoyed your video series.

@@SoloSchmitty No filter. There were two pairs of sunglasses though and a flock of what I think are grouse. My video will be up in a couple of weeks.
@@variedventures6468 cool! Just subbed ya. Will look for your video.

Same to you. Stay in touch!
Did you see any people in Quetico? Looked like the trip of a lifetime.
Thanks for watching. I saw a few but generally quiet. Some days no one. It was a great trip!

Thanks! Ya I can see why. Fishing aside it’s a pretty lake. Could get there pretty quick to which is cool! Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!

@@mattg2935 A tow is the way to go. Nice work bringing the little one, that’s no small effort but definitely a memory maker!
That was a really cool trip and awesome series!
How do you keep all your recording equipment charged up.
I appreciate you watching! I brought some external battery packs. Anker 20K MAH is the size I use.
@@SoloSchmitty thank you very much!
