What did you do is probably your question. On my machine I did the following: 1. I adjusted valves, 2. I replaced the spark plugs, 3. I cleaned and adjusted the mixture and synchronized the carburetors 4. I replaced the carburetors with another pair 5. I measured compression on the cylinders But the unstable idle was still there. I could not find the cause. But a mechanic told me that it is usually a phenomenon caused by uneven wear of the cylinders Finally, I decided to leave it in this state because the engine apart from idling had no problem in its operation
Hi Nick. Were you able to make idle a bit more steady? I have the exact same transalpine and the idle is a bit rough also.
