The big buds are ready to roll. Green, red, Blue, I don't care. To see those tractors in the field planting. I could sit on the fence line all day and watch those beauty's run. Awesome. Waiting for the next video.
Why would you bother giving this a thumbs Down? If you don’t like don’t watch! You won’t eat without families like this. You should be thanking them! Keep up the hard work. God bless you and your family.
Your preparation for planting is so much more detailed than i ever knew. The "drills" do more than just put the seed in the ground. Your equipment to make replacement hoses was an eye-opener. You guys must spend about $25,000 on equipment/parts just to plant seed.
Yes it's constant looking after, more so with iron which is seeing years. But the replacement costs are huge. So until then we'll keep repairing and adjusting.
It's always amazing how much work you guys do, both scheduled maintenance and special stuff, (of course, if you listen to Bloomberg, all you guys do is "dig a hole and plant a seed,") ha!! I've said it before, and it still rings true, "Lord Bless all of you in the farming industry for what you all do to keep us fed!!" Really enjoy all of your videos, keep safe and healthy guys!!
Heck yea! Welker farms is back in action!! TH-cam plant 2020 is gonna be epic!! So many farms are gearing up and the content is getting better and better! Thank you to all the farmers out there getting it done for our country!!
Your videos are the highlight of my week. So good to see you all working together and for the Lord. Keep up the good work and He will continue to bless you. Have a wonderful week.
I built land rollers for a number of years & have fixed farm equipment for decades, that sound at 22:00 minutes sounds like an outer race walking in the pillow block.
All of those buds mini moe’s Wagner’s and such. And you guys get side by sides. I would drive those buds as my personal vehicle, church, grocery, and even to the drive in movies. If I owned one.
It is really nice to see the three of you working together. My granddad and his brother (Uncle Ted) were wheat farmers in NE Kansas. For several years I got to spend 3 weeks on the farm. The way you all work as a team reminds me of my time in the Coast Guard. After boot camp I was first stationed at New Port Oregon on a 44 foot motor life boat (MLB). It is designed to capsize and right itself in 20 seconds. Had some interesting rides. The Boat, 44300< is in the Columbia Maritime Museum. Last year: I retired from public service; my wife of almost 42 years and my daughter and her family moved to north Texas. I am blessed with 3 grandsons, 2 to 9. Keep making videos as they more uplifting and fun to watch than TV.
Fantastic! Come on CASE IH The Millennial Farmer just got a new demo unit for the year from JD. We want to see the latest and greatest planter you have in the CNH arsenal!
I hear on your dad being the master leveler. My dad loves to level everything. Most days I can’t tell the difference I just agree with him. I feel the more prepared I am for planting the worse my first day goes. Next year I’m gonna park the cotton/peanut planter and do nothing to them until I hook them up next spring. Maybe the opposite will work
Love the channel. It's awesome to see ya'lls dad on here explaining how fix stuff. Get him on here more often, he's great. The side by sides are awesome.
Operating a 1895/1910 JD no-till air seeder/commodity cart in northwest ND (east of Williston). Started seeding spring wheat Monday 4/20 on some of dryer fields. Two units in the field (9560R and 9570RT). Ran out of dry ground Friday with just less then 1200 acres in. The videos you post are great.
Wow those air seeders. In the late 60s even into the early 70s we were drilling in oats, wheat and buckwheat with a high wheel Ontario drill pulled by a 39 Farmall F20. Several hundred acres total. Hey the bosses dad liked old things.
Glad to see you using Verdesian products. Made right here in Ohio, by the company I work for. Fun stuff. How awesome!! Becareful with that dyed stuff, little drop will go for miles.
Hey Nick... When u get to the point of restoration of the Moline... Please get in touch with Welters Farm Supply in Verona, MO... They are one of the largest Minneapolis Moline parts and tractor dealers in the nation... Ask for Glen or Lois
I work on a farm just North of you guys in So. Alberta, and with the exceptions of the Buds, we have almost IDENTICAL machines on our farm as you guys- right down to the side by sides, augers, drills, loaders, quads, dump trucks, etc...and in about the same quantity as well!
@@RobertWelkerFarmerBob ya it really is uncanny, even your shop is about the same size as ours!..we also have a 12,000 head feed lot on site so much of the farming is actually in support of the feed lot- corn and barley...then we grow Canola for cash crops!..love your channel- its like going to work everyday!..lol
We switched our sunflower disk and brillion packer to steel lines. They put cheap ones on those machines as well . We store them outside so the elements get to the lines. The steel lines were costly but should last longer. We painted under coating on them as well for rust prevention. Those machines still have some rubber hose at pivot points but those connections are only small 16 inch long lines. We have planted 380 acres of corn. Our weather is rain off and on so dad and I planted all day yesterday and stoped at 4am . It is a struggle with rain but so far it's still early for our area. We have 4500 acres of corn and soybeans to plant. We will plant from now till early July. We harvest winter wheat in late June and no till soybeans right behind the combine. Good to see you father in the videos . Nice video stay safe and farm on my friends !
@@RobertWelkerFarmerBob we use 2 mid sized planters a case 1245 24 row planter for soybeans and a kinze 3600 16 row central fill planter interplant planter for both corn and soybeans.
Get some colored electrical tape, or spray paint and paint each end of the lines on the planter, so when you go to hook them up in the spring after setting all summer and winter, there isnt any guess work when you hook back up in the spring...just my two cents..may God bless each seed you guys plant!
Been doing maintenance on my equipment for the past two weeks d day this week on planting corn and working on tractors hay mowers racks and balers glad y’all got yours going keep up the good work guys god bless
Im glad to see you get started putting the bins together. It will be awesome to fill them this year. Best of luck and prayers for your farm and family. Keep up the good work Welkers!

We get our fertilizer oiled at the dealer, really has helped prevent lumps and eliminates the dust that finds it's way into all the nooks and prevents rust, think the product is called dustrol.
That noise in the bearing may be just the weight of that roller hanging on it. That looking roller is probably sagging under it's own weight causing the shaft to be at a slight angle. As its rotating its forcing the bearing to move slightly in its housing, great videos can't wait to see planting!
A buddy of mine is a diesel mechanic and he has some thick rectangular foam knee pads they look like a big thick cutting board and they help so much and save your knees yall should get something like that for the shop and for what let arms was doing

I couldn't back up that planter to save my life. Believe me I've tried in FS19. Awesome video! Interesting you mentioning the wind. It rolled in just as you were talking about it. I'm a few hours north of ya we're getting hit by a heavy duty storm front.

Check if that bearing is wobbling very slightly in the flange block making that noise.
The tires are probably bias-ply tires & would also make good "bituminous asphalt" with mixing it with class 5 gravel, oil & you have asphalt.
Keep us apprised of the bin build, I for one am looking forward to it.
