The last setting done on the shaft of the gimball, adjust this by leaning the gimball forward and left, on the tripod with one leg forward, then forward and right, the camera should stay, if it swings you adjust this setting on the top of the gimball shaft.
Amazing! I found the Best Tutorial of them all AFTER I figured it out myself.. That's Life.. BUT THIS IS THEE BEST Video for the M2.. Simple & Smooth Zhiyun Fire your Q Code Teacher and send everybody here. THANKS From ALL OF US That Needs you.
Thank you!!! The other videos I watched didn’t say the camera had to be ON! I couldn’t figure out why it was all the way forward and still leaning backwards. Now that the camera is on it balanced perfectly. Thanks!
This made me buy this. I wanted a gimbal that was cheap and small where I knew I would have a small dedicated camera that will never be removed (Sony NEX-5T with 16-50mm) Great job.
Thanks, dude, for just showing it. The easiest video I've seen yet. One suggestion for future... Tell me which locking axis your unlocking cause it was hard to keep up with you because I didn't see clearly which lock you were unlocking.
Brilliant video I will certainly using this method. I have a question, do you know of a camera that when used on the Crane M2, the screen does NOT dim to half brightness as it does on the Sony ZV1.
I'd only use this gimbal with the one camera, and would add a quick release to it with the positions set. I don't mind keeping a mini arca swiss plate on my camera if it means no gimbal balancing again.
@@MediaUnlocked I'd like a video on motion timelapse (mode: Photos with say delay of 4 seconds between photos and shutter speed of 3 seconds) For some reason, that feature of zy play seems off, and photos aren't clicked properly.
With my mirrorless m200, I have to ssy I disagree with "super simple, super easy"...the smallest movements change it drastically and i keep goin back and forth and cant find the balance points, which makes the gimble fail on harder shots...i got it perfect once and it was awesome! Worked great...🤷♂️
Great tip about what to do with the screw, when it isn't in use. Thanks for making the video, very easy to understand and I have a RX-100 Mark IV, too!
Hi, Please help. Single click on trigger button doesn't take me to F mode. I did single click from all other modes but it never took me to F mode. I cant go to F mode at all !!. As given in manual, Long press on trigger button activates F mode and it goes back to previous mode upon releasing the trigger. The firmware version is 2.02 upgraded on 27 June 2020, The Gimbal is purchased in January 2020.. Please help to solve the problem. How to go to F mode.
I have one issue with vortex mode. When the camera record the top, if i move with the joystick, i can do a 360° but if i move horizontally and try to make a 360° it's like it's blocked, i can't, and perfectly balanced ... I have a canon g7x Mark II. A solution?
After doing all the balancing and thinking I had it just right, I turned on the Crane and it went unlevel. Tried several times, but same result, same spot it went to. Taking it back to Best Buy.
yow this was the best tutorial on the m2 by far! thank u so much for this i did click the link and subscribed cant for more content from you guys thank u!
@@MeeZyStudioZ oh, you should read up on the m2 manual and learn that wired connection to the camera is one of supported modes of operation, then say hello to rode wireless go users, for instance and many other wireless microphone sustems
My wife and I have a Canon EOS 250D and I’m following your instructions and it seems as if the camera is too big and is hitting a couple spots so it doesn’t rotate freely, feel like the gimbal is too small for this thing or something but I know the 250D is supposed to be a compact DSLR
I have a mirrorless camera and i can already tell its pushing the limits, especially when it isnt absolutely perfectly balanced...Make sure you get it perfectly balanced and it should still work for simple gimbal work, but maybe not advanced movements
@Media Unlocked, this was a GREAT video!! Learned a lot about the M2 and was easy to follow along.. So question for you.. We have the FujiFilm X-T200, which is a fairly hefty mirrorless camera. I can get it to balance on the M2, but I do need to use the next slot over (in your video you said that slot was was for point n shoots or something like that).. Anyway, I can balance it UNTIL I add the external rhode mic and dead cat.. then all is just way too heavy to balance.. Do you know if there is a limit on the M2 and do you think the X-T200 is too much for it? Hoping I didn't waste my money :-(
Balancing is pretty simple once you get the hang of it. Software connection on the other hand is a whole other can of worms. Just a nightmare. Both my Sony ZV1 and G7X markIII wouldn't connect in spite of updated firmware on all devices, good wifi network etc. I have never been so dissapointed with a product. I worked really hard to make this work but in the end will return it.
Balance in under 2 minutes.... video is over 6 minutes long. I don't think that's possible for a fresh balance, maybe accurate after setting 2 of the axis' that will be used again in the future.
Piece of advice: Keeping your face in frame instead of your crotch while talking is a good idea! And, you missed to mention the procedure to balance with the bottom most screw, there is a balancing procedure actually
This absolutely does not work with phones. Impossible to balance. Micro-adjusted the shit out of it for 30 minutes and it's always out of balance. Going to have to return the device; It's completely useless.
@@Theycallmereemo I did finally get it working, but it took a couple hours. I have a Galaxy S20 Ultra which is a pretty large phone.. Anything larger I don't think would be possible to use with the Crane M2.
This video was soooooo much easier to follow than the video associated with Zhiyun. Thanks!!!

Yea that was not even helpful! They went so fast and assumed we knew terms...this is much better!

Definitely WAY better!!!
The only video I have seen on this that is decent and does a great job of explaining all 4 adjustments in detail. Excellent job!
THANK YOU THIS VIDEO WINS THE AWARD FOR BEST EASY TO FOLLOW ALONG DETAILED EXAMPLE OF HOW TO BALANCE THIS GIMBAL! I'M SAVING THIS IMMEDIATELY
This is the best tutorial I have seen. Have you ever tried to connect up a point and shoot camera that has a cage?
I must be pretty dumb bc ive had to watch about 100 videos to figure this out. but this one solved all my problems. thank you!
Best video I've seen that explains this. Great job and really well suited to beginners who've never used a gimbal before

Nice idea for storing the screw. I sometimes tape it as well. It's crucial not to lose it.
I appreciate the simplicity of your balancing approach! Thank you!
Mine alwasy says "axis lock", whats seems to be the problem? Thanks!
did you unlock the gimbal
Great Tutorial. Best I have seen on the subject.
Made the complex simple. Great work (& top tip) on that pesky screw we always lose! 👏
Great video! Any idea how to mount vertically for phone?
I do all that but i always have the zhyun making an alert sound after 2 or 3 seconds in each mode. Damn
Thank you so much! Your instructions are very clear!
I've got Sony ZV-1 and it's very similar to RX100 so your video is the best for me

Thanks.
Oh my! Very easy to follow compared to other videos I've watched. Haha. Thank you so much!

Any chance you have a workaround for the ZY Play app on Android. Cannot connect any Android phones to the Crane M2

I need help.. how do I Bluetooth connect my Sony ZV1 to the Crane M3..pleeeeze ..?
Camera name u are setting in gimbal?
good job, just got my crane m2
That’s awesome. Congrats !!
My tripot plate its different it doesn't have backwards n forward i can't balance my canon 90d
I think i gotta return this
Very nicely done with easy way n really helpful to follow.
Rx100 camera has ports on the right and you mount it in such a way that they are inaccessible!
U cant use a gimbal with cords attatched anyway...it constantly throws off the balance

Pan adjustment is a real adjustment. You skipped the "how" to adjust like it wasnt important. It is.
Thanks.

Do you have to do this every time you remove and mount back your camera?
Basically...the downside of smooth footage...but worth it once u get the hang of it

It is a fitbit special edition band for the versa II
