      Yeah, he doesn't like to use them because he thinks it removes the tactical element of eggs and mesh and rocks and stuff, which I think is accurate.

    Thanks for the play Tom! I'll experiment with a lot less flip breeder terrain on my next few maps. Just got to get through my university final project. Should be a lot more maps coming soon for those wanting more!
    There's a lot of updates coming down the pipeline for LPAC in general headed up by Fireswamp (creator of LPAC) so be ready for some big changes. I've got a basic tutorial on my channel but i'll be making a much more updated better one once the update hits.

      One approach could be to only use the flip breeder terrain early on, before you get access to things like a spore launcher or air sac cauldron. That way, you're not disincentivised to use them but the terrain can still form an interesting obstacle to try and challenge. Just make sure to use it sparingly.

      the map has the perfect amount of anti-creep. it triggers a defense when you move close to the base. a final defensive measure.

    Mitigating the AC generation on those little choke points is always an interesting challenge, when there's the yellow land + sprayer combo. I usually try to see if I can snipe them out with a Rock and then have a couple Eggs to clear away the AC from their destruction.
    _REALLY_ been enjoying these lately, so time for me ta give this map a go! Thanks, Tom!!
    *Edit:* I will agree with Tom that those can be a bit bothersome, but they're often really cool when they're used as choke points that make you commit towards a particular path by blocking off more contained regions, rather than becoming a huge chain reaction.

      The problem is that you cant disarm them really when the sprayer sits upon it other than spam it with eggs so nothing matters. They emit AC either if they shoot or they die, that is the bad part imho.

      Easier solution is to pre-lay like six eggs on the spot and run either an egg fuse or make your push to set it off. It'll offset the AC production until the sprayer pops, handle the sprayer store, and then land nicely on the shared production territories. Save your rocks for either ERN powered stuff or for major line pushes, you'd be surprised how devastating the wave of blobs is when you run a line of rocks behind the enemy front line.

      @@DrakenAshen I usually have two Eggs set with one on either side of the Sprayers if they're a ways off. The Rock is to knock them out quickly, so that there's a bigger possibility of Creeper generating rather than AC, using the eggs to make that into a new foothold by countering the AC generation. Pop All Eggs as soon as the Rock goes off, and it'll usually work out.
      I'll usually let my Creeper wall push into range of those, so pre-setting that is also an insurance policy incase something like an Air Sac or Spore Launcher triggers them early. If a map doesn't start out with any AC regions generating, it's easy to just seed all those choke points before you start a real push, and there's not too much of a loss other than a slower start.
      Even while I am the slow & steady tactical approach type, anything that REQUIRES taking a while to prep before making a proper start isn't a fun approach. A general rule is that if a map heavily rewards perfection, it's less fun. Mistakes & setbacks are important, but also the tools on the map like Spores & Air Sacs should be a bigger help than a hindrance when they're included.

    I especially love these multiple ending videos ton! it's super super entertaining to see all the different possible ways to run the map. I know it probably takes quite a bit of time but it's super great to watch!

    Once they ran out of Liftic, they couldn’t rebuild platforms, so I was thinking you could strategically egg your way across the yellow void patches to reclaim them then.

    The yellow patches aren't so much of an issue if you actually use your upgrades, tom. though I do love seeing those alternate endings, so I'm not complaining XD

    We need a map that shows the potential of stacks.
    The waves are nice but I feel we forget it doubles what it absorbs. That sounds like it could do some work.

      Not fast though.
      I mean don't play the "let's race the different tools" with it.
      I think it's more of a slow rise in power that eventually becomes insurmountable. Can they go beyond the creep limit ? How fast do they make wave so high it drowns shields ?
      2 stacks close together could exponentially grow

      @@gregoirebasseville4797 Main problem with stashes is how slow they absorb, and in the play as creep maps, you can only increase the amount total it can absorb, making it even slower to trigger.

      So either a buff effect that increases the absorption speed, or ... No, just increase absorption speed with capacity I guess.
      Add upgrades every few levels that increase speed, or absorption speed is always a percentage of capacity.

    the reason why Dark Tower ultra buffed are op sometimes:
    Dark Towers makes em unable to be hit by other towers making them allmost invincible.

    Was the flavour text at the beginning a reference? War of the hammers makes me think warhammer but I can't think of any giant worms in that... I definitely feel like I'm missing something though!

    Play Creeper World 3. The CSM style maps by Yum are always fun. And you can lose if you screw up the order..

    I actually enjoyed the yellow patches on this map. I would lay a bunch of eggs as preventative so if a random spore or air sac hit the area there would be 10 eggs that would pop and make the place generate for me instead. Not sure if it helped make it faster but was a nice bit of challenge.

    Honestly I think blobs are the most boring way to win as well, they really go from *doing not much* to *overwhelming force* which is just not super interesting.

      I'm *kinda* the same, but at the same time I feel like there's just not actually a whole lot of variety in creeper world if you're going off of individual "tools", airsacks also do nothing then win, same with spores, tbh I do kinda like skimmers tho
      Even on the human side its really planes, orbitals, turret deathsquad, or anticreep
      I think the real fun in creeperworld comes from watching the various elements join together into one chaotic but unified force, greater than the sum of its parts kinda thing, that and crazy unique maps of course

    Airsacs triggering things before you're ready is why I hate them so much. I can't count the number of times I've been laying out a trail of eggs to take something out on the back line, only for 20+ eggs to be rendered useless by an airsac that dropped close enough to trigger one of the eggs. I've been tempted to go into edit mode on some maps to remove them entirely, but then I can't submit my score.
    CW4 map makers, please, for the love of fun, make some maps WITHOUT airsacs. PLEASE!!

    i forgot the number but it's around 2,000 is the max you want from a emitter. it starts doing funky things if you put too much in it.
    dark tower does need fixing. it's better to upgrade that but most maps you can't upgrade things in the dark tower range. it needs to be fixed so we can upgrade other structures and such in the dark tower range
    the air sacs goes back and fourth when upgrading from adding another air sac to carrying a a bigger payload to a point. once at the point it just carries more creep pre air sac. air sacs depends on the level
    normal level
    some have a 1-2 air sac limit
    some are like this mission.
    and some you get 1 but you can upgrade it a lot

      If I remember the order of events correctly, the current LPAC script that has the "Pop all Eggs" button on the side also lets you place stuff under a dark tower. It does show the "you can't place this here" stuff, but I think that's just because they couldn't figure out how to disable that.
      So older LPAC maps won't let you, but it should work with future maps (except the rare cases where someone uploads a map using old scripts without realizing)

    honestly the sprayer camping is pretty bad as level design goes as its a little too meta.
    no commander would actually do that youd either just seed it from the word go or not be sat on the yellow in the first place.
    very much just says i wanted this bit to get "harder" the moment you reach it. makes you very very aware of the hand of the map maker.
    now if they'd made a point of them being unnarmed until you approach so you have a chance to play big brain and cut it off so it can't be seeded, that would be a different story. as it stands even prioritising the problem means choosing to ignore half your attack strats and punishes even a direct rock strike, pretty bad all round.

    Creep will go under shield if there's enough volume to brute force in or if you mesh a path.
    Dark tower lag can be offset by buffing the hell out of it before nuking the nullifier.

    Ok Tom we gotta talk dude. You have got to start using rocks to destroy ERN guns manually, stop holding onto boosts unless you're saving up for releasing blobs or skimmers, every second the boost is in your pocket and not spent you're losing free creep, and you can plant eggs on strategically important targets, then run a chain of them like a fuse to take out runways or those pesky anti-creep traps.

    Yellow patches are.... eh. It's the same "use a couple eggs to clear the sprayer discharge" everytime. Maybe if they used some negative anti-creep ground to limit the spread, so there are rewards for not triggering them, but also not making "avoid half then units" seem appealing to avoid the 2nd half of the map getting flooded.
