I've been there and the only reason why they ban swimming ours at night is because of the high tide. The water flow from the cave system flowing towards the sea reverses during the night due to the high tide waters coming from the open sea. Had you also noticed the water flow when you swam there? I noticed it, and it is stronger during the night and chances are you'll get pulled down with the flowing water into the depths of the cave. The water may seem calm due to how crystal clear it is, but don't be fooled by its current during high tide and low tide. Safest hours to swim are during 8am - 4pm.

If we do not take care of our planet and creatures, we will go down, too! The people still keep up with the tradition of feeding the fishes, a treaty for a peaceful coexistence of both Human kind and Elemental Spirits. So don't be surprise if there are sirens there.
I visited this place when I was a kid. I just realized how beautiful it was and remembered the great times I had with this place. There was alot of creepy superstitions around this place, like for example you cant swim after 5pm(apparently someone broke this rule and drowned), you cant fish in the area(their is a story about an old man fishing, and he thought that he caught a fish because there was something pulling from his rod only to realize that it was only a leaf after minutes of pulling it) it really creeped me out. I’m a Flip and I know the locals have this ugly habit of making/having their little huts near or ON any bodies of water (whether its a lake, river, coastlines, etc) and shit (literally) under them. The Govt needs to mandate to stop future squatters from building up on or near any bodies...especially that the country is experiencing a “cleaning” craze right now started with Boracay., Manila Bay, etc.
I've been there before and i've noticed in the water there is some kinda of a shining substance and seems like an oil, but more likely a natural oil, i dont know where its coming from, but its pretty weird because the water was very clean and clear though. When you go there its very magical and a bit eerie, no wonder they call it Enchanted River.
The river has no silt because the area surrounding it still has a beautiful forest and vegetation cover. So it's not really a mystery. The vegetation that covers the soil, helps compact the soil, and prevent excessive soil erosion.

The spiritual lore is designed to protect it. After hearing the occult stuff, i would proceed with caution. "Water worlds" are portals. Especially water that clean and clear. Limited human contact is a must👍🏾
It will always be clean because there is an underwater spring coming out from the underwater cave system. Nature cleans itself. And for the fish, they are fresh water fish and being fed every 12noon by locals.
Respectfully withstanding superstitious/religious/traditional folklore type things, it probably is the filtration through rocks that keeps this place so bluetiful. Nice post, thanks.

Aww they take care of the fish. That's nice. How beautiful
Beautiful,beautiful,beautiful...lets hope the 🌎 WORLD don't destruct it and protect it for the futures generation
This is so delightful and looks like something out of a fairy tale. Thank you for sharing this!
Please, I echo "a hamster"'s plea: Let us keep it clean and precious. If we do not take care of
our planet and creatures, we will go down, too! Maybe the nature spirits really DO protect it,
and it is a lesson not to muck up crystal clear, marvelous waters or our planet altogether.
This is one of the beautiful places ive visited that is so enchanting... id love to go back nxt year😍
Oh my god so beautiful. I wish all the waters looked this beautiful
The people still keep up with the tradition of feeding the fishes, a treaty for a peaceful coexistence of both Human kind and Elemental Spirits. So don't be surprise if there are sirens there.
lol..this is the third video, I've seen you on today...
@@MrPunmgr well what a coincidence 😂

+Jan Rand Jandusay how would u know if shes beautiful or not. beauty is much more than physical. much more.
One of the best place I've ever been to. That was like 7 years ago and it still looks the same. Just amazing.
Hope u comeback with ur family or friends and go to some beaches are beatiful....we welchome us!
Good thing I only heard the stories after I swam there lmfao I couldve been so scared
This is how rich the Philippines is...thank God our Government has laws protecting the natural resources and beauty of our country...proud being a Filipino!!!
I had been to this enchanted river , so beautiful , we had a cruise in a little boat from this river down to the Pacific Ocean then you see small islands .. this place is in Hinatuan , Surigao del Sur ( Mindanao ) Philippines about perhaps 2 hours from Butuan city Agusan del Norte ? … this is the only river that existed on the world , amazing ..,
I used to swim in that river. You are not allowed to dive in the part where the big fishes are lurking because it's now protedted. It's a mixed warm and cold water so if you are the type of person who can't tolerate cold water like me, you can really enjoy it😊😊😊
Oh wow! It's so beautiful, I don't know we have that kind of place here in the Philippines.. 😱😱😂😂
-Philippines is truly a beautiful country. 😊😊
You must be living in metro manila 😂
Imagine if there was actually a mermaid, and I didn't expect such river to exist in my own country. I wanna visit.
Beautiful and obviously the water is clear because it's filtered through rocks. There is no mystery to this but it is gorgeous.
Wow I’m taken. This was truly unbelievable experience to see
It won’t stay beautiful for long cuz of this video...you know humans have a tendency to f-things up...
A spectacular view though 👍🏼...
💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
No worries. Their President Durtete will take care of those like how messed Boracay was before the massive clean up😊
It is well preserved. The locals really treasure it.
S Bsims I didn’t know you could mess up a river by just swimming in it??

I’m a Flip and I know the locals have this ugly habit of making/having their little huts near or ON any bodies of water (whether its a lake, river, coastlines, etc) and shit (literally) under them. The Govt needs to mandate to stop future squatters from building up on or near any bodies...especially that the country is experiencing a “cleaning” craze right now started with Boracay., Manila Bay, etc.
The 2 legged animal, human, is capable of destroying everything beautiful.
Yeah ur rite. I don't know what to say sometimes about it..
Lol
Phillipino government, i beg of you
Do what you can, within your power, to protect this river from the trash of tourists.....
Wow this is absolutely stunning. A natural wonder. 💖
OMW that's Dreamy ! Spectacular.
BUCKET LIST!!!!
wanna swim in there again! it was and is still is magical! love the underwater landscapes!
This is located in Hinatuan,Surigao in Mindanao part. I wish I could send a picture here. This is the most beautiful river I've ever been. So clean So clear the water is so deep and blue . but I didn't stay there for 5 minutes cuz Im scared thinking there's some creature that will grab me down the there lol. But its amazing place ..
The Philippines have more than 100 beautiful waterfalls and 150 amazing cave even the islands more than 7,641 I think when I research
Went there in 2016 and in person it's even better. Loved swimming there - weekdays are less crowded btw and it isn't as easy to access this place as you would think - very rural part of Surigao del Sur.
Humans should not be allowed to swim. They will pollute it
Dumbass
Swimming is prohibited now
@Ebing Gallos Money, tourism and Bathroom porpoises?
Lol. Swimming isn't the problem. That's so cute.
Steve L I did that without swimming. I stocked it with brown trout from above when camping. I keep the land clean not like the rude animals that will crap right on the trail.
Wow beautifull.....wish to be there one day
Yeah well, my cousin threw me in the river without a life vest. I almost drowned but I loved the experience there. It's truly amazing but a hassle to go there, the roads are muddy and bumpy but the prize for your hard work is work worth!
I have enjoyed this river before. You have a very positive voice and good story too. A great video.
I miss this Place! Went there back in November 2016! It looks peaceful but, the current underneath is so strong! Make sure your a good swimmer! One Professional Diver died there! The river is off limits at 5 pm.
I want to visit this mystical place so beautiful

This river so beautiful that it seems mystical.

One of best presenter of entire youtube...thanks for the great video
Amazing river. It reminds me the amazing blue water river in Costa Rica.
I've been to Río Celeste as well with its waterfalls 👌👌👌
The spiritual lore is designed to protect it. After hearing the occult stuff, i would proceed with caution. "Water worlds" are portals. Especially water that clean and clear. Limited human contact is a must👍🏾
I'm hoping that no corrupt politicians may discover this mystical treasure...
I'm a corrupt politician and I just discovered this mystical treasure because of your comment.
Nahh filipino politicians cant do anything to these wonders without the permission of the locals

Goodness!!!!! Napaka ganda pala Ng Pilipinas,,!!! Isasama ko to sa bucket list ko....
It will always be clean because there is an underwater spring coming out from the underwater cave system. Nature cleans itself. And for the fish, they are fresh water fish and being fed every 12noon by locals.
It's more fun in the philippines. 💘❣💕💞💚💙💜🧡💛

All I can say is ... what a beautiful WORLD 🌎
Yes it is 😊😊😋
That’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen!!!
Respectfully withstanding superstitious/religious/traditional folklore type things, it probably is the filtration through rocks that keeps this place so bluetiful. Nice post, thanks.
Thank you for sharing the beauty of our country 😊
Old folks say that the river is a gateway to another world and that fairies or diwata in our local dialect are guarding it.

it is enchanted bcoz some say it is the gate of eden. so it was guarded and no one can enter. JUST WATCH "THE GOD CULTURE" VIDEOS
Yam Yee ... u cant still swim! Weve been there just last week;) at some parts u cant
ive been here before. the water is unbelievably clear and blue. it is well preserved and swimming is no longer allowed these days, but there are small islands just 30 mins beyond the river where you can swim and have picnics.
There are so many beautiful places in the Philippines and indeed I worry too for its preservation, because tourism destroys so quickly. 😥
There's a river similar to this in southern Spain. It's not very well known but it used to be popular with naturists gorge walking. It's so clear and beautiful and is claimed to be so because of the fluorescent properties of the rocks
