She also mentions in the song someone called peter. Who is the gatekeeper of heaven. And when she says “peters on vacation an open invitation” it means there’s no one there to guard it. She also says “once you get inside them got friends but can’t invite them” meaning those that didn’t do anything to act against global warming cannot enter heaven. A pretty strong message. The oil that’s she gets stuck in also represents the oil spills and how this can affect birds. She also mentions in the song”once the water starts to rise and heveans out of sight she’ll want the devil on her team”. The waters rising represents global warming and the devil part means it to be so bad you’ll even ask the devil for help
( i mean this all with no disrespect or hostility ) she writes all of her music with her brother she talks about it all the time lol .. all of her ideas are her own there’s nobody besides herself controlling the content she puts out , she edits her own videos and everything lol just because she’s young doesn’t mean she can’t have creativity . and the video is about climate change , she was an angel sent down to the earth to save humans , but it’s too late because the humans done fucked everything up already . that’s why you’ll hear the lyrics “ my god is gonna owe me .. there’s nothing left to save now “ she’s a very big advocate for climate change and other social justice issues . but to answer some things you seemed to be confused about , her and her brother write and produce all of her music , she comes up with all the ideas for her visuals and edits them mostly herself , obviously with the help of a team as well . and it’s not a new song it was on her album ( it makes a lot more sense in the context of her album )

Song is literally about climate change. She said so herself and the lyrics point to it. The hills burning line is about California, which is having constant wild fires. The water rising line is about the water levels rising due to the icecaps melting, which will put large amounts of land under water. Also "Poisoning yourselves now, begging for our help, wow" is, of course, about how we're poisoning our own planet.
Billie Eilish ain't religious, but she is a creative kid, and art tends to have symbolism in it. Can people not make biblical references to God and Lucifer without being satanic now?
