  • Unboxing and #Review of Zoukei-Mura's Horten Ho-229 Flying wing in 32nd scale.
The kit seen in the video can be bought here: amzn.to/2rxRGKU
Its 48th scale version, which is similar to the bigger one can be bought here: amzn.to/2pZyRz4
The fantastic German engineering from the WWII end days is seen here in plastic.
The kit features transparent parts, complete engines, sophisticated interior, wings with fuel tanks, spars, ribs and profiles.
There is many interesting design decisions and the kit is very suitable for straight OOTB build.
The decal sheet is relatively big, but probably most of the modelers will choose to make the plane with bare skin, due to the many mediums used withing the building of the real flying wing.
The engines feature extremely nicely done details, like rotors, stators, jet nozzles and so on.
As with every Zoukei-Mura kit, the instruction sheet is superb, executed with precision and easing up the build as much as possible.
Even though sophisticated kit with complex building process, this Horten Ho-229 can be done by relatively un-experienced modelers thanx to the wonderful instruction booklet.
#Zoukei-Mura's #Horten Ho-229 from their Super Wing Series kits is one of the best 1:32 kit on the market, featuring superb engineering and stunning details. Very few kits on the market can compete with that flying wing, and it's class it stands on its own.
    Extremely highly recommended!!!

Thank you, Mitko. Another excellent review on yet another great kit. I wish these models were made 60 years ago. Sadly, taking my age into consideration, I doubt I live long enough to finish these great kits.

I don't know about your age, but my grandmother is close to 94 and alive and kicking more than myself. And I know that she doesn't know what YT is. So I am guessing you are a lot younger than that :)

Hmmm seems maybe the same could be for you buddy as there are no videos of you actually building any of these kits, you also seem to think these planes were built by the Japanese when in fact all they have done for the best part is miniaturized the German engineering which is something Japan is very good at. The Japanese engineering from the same era as the amazing German machines they like to copy can mostly be found at the bottom of the Pacific ocean!!

I really enjoy your review,BTW in terms of gluing the clear from cowling to the 229 I used Bob Smith Industries gold CA glue which is designed specifically for clear parts, again great work and also I’d love to see a review of the Hobby Boss 1/32 P61 Black Widow ,I had a uncle who flew these in the pacific and I also had a great uncle who flew in the Doolittle Raid ,his name was Vinable ...

Great review,I bought the TA152 H1 and P51D and just bought the 229 and have the 219 on order but I would love to see some more reviews of Zoeki kits particularly 1/32 ,I’m waiting for the training version of the Pheil and it would also be cool to see reviews of the accessories for each kit, when will we see build reviews of these ?

    • @DNModels
      @DNModels  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

TA-152 is in some stages of preparation, but the kit is missing from the market. For the newer ones - probably soon after release.

Awesome Kit of an Awesome Aircraft! The details are amazing too! (But too much parts for my taste... ;-) This is one of my favourite Aircrafts ever since I'm fascinated by "Flying Wings"! Go-229 and YB-49 still look Futuristic! ;-) Too bad, there never was a Ho-229 and we can only guess how it would look like... Since the aircraft was developed too late there never was the final product! The plan was giving the production to Gothaer Waggonfabrik as Go-229 but never happened... I would love to see a replica with modern jet engines flying today! There are Bf-109 and Me-262 replicas flying! Why no Go-229???

An arm and both legs but, worth it if you have the time and mind clarity to build one. It would be the talking piece for generations in your family I assure you.
