Clearing the State Bank of India Probationary Officer (SBI PO) exam requires a strategic approach, dedication, and consistent effort. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you prepare effectively:
1. *Understand the Exam Pattern and Syllabus*
- *Preliminary Exam:* It consists of three sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability.
- *Main Exam:* It includes Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, and a descriptive test (Essay & Letter Writing).
- *Interview:* Candidates who clear the main exam are called for an interview.
2. *Create a Study Plan*
-
Daily Schedule: Allocate specific hours for each section. Ensure to cover all topics and allocate more time to weaker areas.
Weekly Goals: Set achievable goals for each week to cover significant portions of the syllabus.
Revision: Regularly revise what you have studied to retain information.
3. *Gather Study Material*
- *Books:* Choose standard books for each section. Some recommended ones include:
- English: "Word Power Made Easy" by Norman Lewis, "Objective General English" by S.P. Bakshi
- Quantitative Aptitude: "Quantitative Aptitude for Competitive Examinations" by R.S. Aggarwal
- Reasoning: "A Modern Approach to Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning" by R.S. Aggarwal
- General Awareness: Current affairs magazines, newspapers, and yearly compendiums like "Manorama Yearbook."
- *Online Resources:* Utilize online platforms offering mock tests, video lectures, and practice questions.
4. *Practice Regularly*
- *Mock Tests:* Take regular mock tests to simulate exam conditions. Analyze your performance to identify and work on weak areas.
- *Previous Year Papers:* Solve previous year question papers to understand the exam pattern and the type of questions asked.
- *Sectional Tests:* Focus on sectional tests to strengthen individual sections.
5. *Improve Speed and Accuracy*
- Practice regularly to increase your speed.
- Focus on accuracy to avoid negative marking in the exam.
6. *Stay Updated with Current Affairs*
- Read newspapers daily.
- Follow news portals and apps for the latest updates in banking, finance, and the economy.
7. *Work on Your Writing Skills*
- Practice essay and letter writing for the descriptive section.
- Work on grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.
8. *Prepare for the Interview*
- Brush up on banking terms, current affairs, and your personal background.
- Practice common interview questions and conduct mock interviews.
9. *Stay Healthy and Positive*
- Maintain a healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet and regular exercise.
- Take breaks and ensure you get enough rest to avoid burnout.
- Stay positive and motivated throughout your preparation.
By following these steps and maintaining a disciplined approach, you can increase your chances of clearing the SBI PO exam.

@@Sivanshu_sahay some recommendations from your side ?
English me editorial ki class karni chahiye ya nhi
Depend karta hai English kaisi hai.. agar hindi medium se school mai padhai ki aur editorial padh ke samajh nahi aaye tab hi kare...
. Editorial khud padh ke samajh aata hai to nahi karo...

Tab to sahi hai.. mock do ho jayega.. advance mai mensuration , geometry pe focus karo... Scoring hai.. aur exam mai ban sakte hai...
Reasoning to easy hi hai...
English grammar based hai to grammar padho ( rani maam , neetu singh youtube pe class hoga.. grammar padh lo...)... Active passive , direct indirect jaise questions ke liye practice bahut important hai......
