I must admit, when you first set out and dropped the moped at the ferry port, the very first time, into them other bikers, I thought "This guy hasn't got a chance of making it". Well, after watching just that first episode, I found myself willing you on to Italy. I was 100% invested in your journey and couldn't wait for the next upload's. It was incredible to see you make it! I felt like I have made it with you. Your family is amazing and good luck on your next adventure, I will be watching you! SUPERBO!
Glad you made it safe and reunited with your family. I really enjoyed this series and I'm now motivated to do a road trip on my Vespa GTS 300. I always wanted to visit the Vespa museum in Italy. Maybe next year, a small roadtrip from the UK? 😊
I have spent my 8-hour work day (behind a desk) binging this entire journey! Thank you for sharing this and allowing me to virtually escape with you through it all! Thank you also for leaving the information to Cho Cho! His business will be beneficial to my new business' success!!
In most languages "bike" is translates to bicycle and not motorbike. In Bulgaria the thing you're riding is called "scooter" or "moped". That's where the confusion came from- your phone translated "bike" as "bici" both times and this means "bicycle" in Italian. Most of the Italian campgrounds have very low power limits on the sockets. Sth like 4A to prevent people using heaters in the cold season, so maybe the owner thought you would trip the breaker (what EV chargers usually do)
Louis, this series was an absolute blast to watch what you had to go through. You are so good at narrating the videos. My hubby and I smiled at each other when you sang the hills are alive with the sound of music!! We watched the entire series and it was amazing to see all the ups and downs in this entire trip. We absolutely enjoyed every video. Cant wait until you are able to do a trip like this with raya and neo along as well!! Thank you so much for doing this series. I hope rayas dad loved his new toy. We wish you all the best. Please do another trip like this sometime I near future. Again thank you
I think you travelled along the E45 major road, which is considered a motorway in Italy and Europe and only motorbikes with a CC superior to 250 can legally travel on it. I think you got very very lucky if so! Great to see you finally made it safe and sound! Held my breath quite a few times x
Wow. YOU MADE IT, Louis!!! So emotional, thank you for your enormous effort to bring such fun, uplifting series. After your trip in the US with Cali and kind of a sad ending, I'm so happy that you could close this chapter and made it to your beautiful family: Raya and Neo! I REALLY enjoyed this series, in fact, this content is SO inspiring. I would love to see a similar challenge with the entire family back together (Cali included), with some camping on wild places (perhaps something in Bulgaria?). I also loved that this trip had such a generous purpose! Well done, mister!!!! :D
@@claravonessen5673 I didn't find the trip with Cali sad, I thought it showed the reality of the push towards electric vehicles. We don't have the infrastructure for such endeavors! I also found it to be educational and informative. Louis survived with the help of good people along the way. For myself and many others like me, we prefer to travel conventionally. Pull into a fuel station and fill up the tank. 😉😁⛽🚗
Louis rocks! Finding a way no matter what. That's a man that loves his wife and child! Language barriers do not stop Louis. An awesome family, can't wait for more Costa Rican content on the 'other' channel. Ride on 🏍️ 😎
Absolutely loved watching you on this trip so glad u arrived safely so wonderful to see how many people helped you apart from the grumpy guy you was not rude and offered to pay straight away I think he judged you to quickly!! 🥰
Business is business, people who have to pay the electric bill at hotels, motels, campgrounds are responsible for family too. Love the channel, glad you made it safely. 🌹🌝🌚
Yes absolutely just that there is a better way of communicating that. My family runs a hotel and they just tell the charges off front. And if there is specific place they can charge and all that. When am visiting my parents many times I step out and tell the guests "Am sorry but you can not charge here. There is a metered charge port, PLEASE use that. We can not allow you to charge at this port." And before we got the metered port, the initial days of EVs, we just told them a fixed amount. Most did not mind paying. Now we have destination charging with 8 charging units at our premise. Now we get guests who come to our place only because of the charging available.
For someone of Louis’ age and experience of travelling around the world, he’s so naive and/or ignorant. I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say it’s more likely to be the former, but still.
So I absolutely LOVED this series! It was fun to see all the scenery go by, the plot twists, and how you handle it all. I teared up when you finally made it! Congratulations! Can't wait for the next adventure!
Incredible journey. It's inspiring to see your determination and resilience in overcoming the challenges of a solar-powered scooter adventure. The emotional reunion with their family is truly heartwarming. A big testament to the power of human spirit and the beauty of exploration.
Love following your adventures, but I have to say, that guy was not being ridiculous. You came across as pretty entitled in this series to be fair. Expecting to effectively steal electricity at a time when prices are rising and people have businesses to run. It just seemed you were being a little on the wrong side of just cheeky a few times in the series. Nevertheless, a fun adventure and glad you made it safely.
@@susanadams-wauro6716 actually a few videos back he said better to ask forgiveness than permission and was sneaking batteries in. Also, buying a meal, pays for the meal, not the electricity. I'm not saying always, but in this series, that's the impression we got a couple of times. These days, with everything being so expensive, I personally would have insisted on paying for the electricity every time, never being sneaky. It just didn't sit right with me that a youtuber with 2 million subscribers would take electricity for free.
Charging that thing is only like 4kWh from empty to full, Even on the worst of days & timing that would barely equate to €2 and on an average Mediterranean summer day, i very much doubt it'd be more than 50 cents to charge it for ~3H during working hours (peak solar duck curve). I'm ok with the owner demanding a fee to charge, but €8 is pretty darn steep, even at my ridiculously overpriced local 150kW fast charger l'd get ~17kWh for that price🤔
Now I know if I can use solar panels for charging. Thanks for showing us Louis. It's doable but not on a tight schedule. Glad to know that. Cheers mate.
Yeah, is especially true when require every watt hour out of a battery. I haven’t seen every episode, never seen him access an EV charger station via Type 2 adapter? That would take away many problems. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen. Nothing better than the hush of an electric bike or scooter ride .
Amazing series Louis! A monumental achievement while editing so much on the go and running on so little sleep! Looks like you enjoyed italy with your family too :)
Your next challenge should be (besides the music thing which im very excited about) "learning secretly italian to suprise my wife & their family" - that would be awesome.
If you do something like this again, if you can hook a solar panel on the front or on top of you battery/storage area to collect solar as you go to help
This was such a fun series! I will miss it. I am sure you are glad it is over and you are reunited with your family. ❤ But, as I said before, I feel like we are getting to journey with you 😊. I also can't believe how good your microphone is! The scenery was spectacular, and your sense is humor throughout is always so fun. I have loved this Thank you for sharing it with us!
Awesome job Louis loved the adventure! 🛵 glad you made it safely! It would be rad if you made a Spotify playlist of your scooter trip music! Always love the tunes you use in vlogs especially the world flight. Enjoy your family time! Cheers 🤙🏼
Amazing Louis! I followed every minute of your journey and it's so good to see you doing this type of adventure again. How about a train journey through Portugal? I'm contemplating filming every km of track in Portugal...
I started watching the 1st episode because I was absolutely sure there's no way you can get there on solar in 10 days and I was interested when you will give up. TBH the days where you charged from sockets were more pleasant to watch than the ones you did 35miles and spent mostly on a field charging. Still getting from UK to Italy on electric moped is an achievement.
Wow I've watched the videos of this amazing adventure and so I've discovered your channel, now it's amazing to see that you've made it and that the final destination is the city where I'm from and where I live, Prato! Thanks for taking us with you in this journey
What a beautiful journey! Great adventure that you took as along with you. You are an amazing guy Louis! May you enjoy your time together with Raya and Leo. ❤
Louis, you are definitely a musician! DJ’ing is a serious musical skill. I think a lot of people overlook how much skill actually goes into being a good DJ. It is NOT easy! I would love to see more DJ content from you in the future. The Jazzy/Funky/Soulful/HipHop vibes you are on is completely up my street! Love it!!

If you run a business, you should learn to be pleasant to your potential customers and charge them off the get go for the services you offer.
