Gibson Custom Shop Murphy Lab BB King ES-355 1974 "Rumble in the Jungle" - Demo and Review

I am blessed to own a 1973 ES-355. Around that time, my brother's music store rented a silverfaced Super Reverb to BB when he played Tully Gym at Floridat State University. I was there. The amp and BB's original guitar sounded fabulous.

Yeah! Try to sell one of your guitars - “Im not buying that, it has a scratch!”. Gibson website- “Intentionally abused guitar- $12,000” and everybody wants it

Crazy! No other retail product is treated this way! But “new” guitars beat up with keys and belt buckles fetch $$$

I played one recently, i gotta say its the greatest thing Gibson has done in a long time like the Hendrix SG. Crazy price but i get it i guess.

He used all sorts of amps through his career. Mostly high headroom combos. Some examples are Fender Twins, Super Reverbs, Brown Vibrosonics and Lab Series L5.
