Hi Jeremy, yesterday whilst hunting tot lot in mulch, i found a large sterling silver ring laying on surface. It had genuine turquoise stone on it. Took to jeweler and he valued it at $200-300.
Some playgrounds we hit 2 times a week. Many of these trashy spots we hit every couple weeks in the same spot. This time of the year the only places to hunt is the playgrounds because the ground is hard as concrete.

If it's marked usually it's real. Just look at it with a magnifier to see if there is any flaking. If you see flaking it's probably plated.
