Responsive is a good word for Cancer. Responsive to needs, responsive to vulnerability in others, responsive to atmospheres or environments- the cardinal energy drives them to respond to emotional frequencies and take action on it. To shield and nurture and soothe people, to open them up and unclog their emotions. You have to be highly intuitive to do all that and be emotionally intelligent, which Cancer is. I've found they often know what you're feeling better than you do. They like familiarity and feeling safe which is why they're so nostalgic- the past has already happened and they can look back with romantic sepia goggles on. Just some thoughts.

edit: i find it cool how my mom is a cancer. i’m basically a combination of both of my parents lol. my dad is an aquarius & i have aquarius sun & moon placements with cancer rising.
i can be selfless at times. i always want to help others (especially damaged people) because i understand how it feels to be lonely. but it really effects with my emotions because people take advantage of that. this is a toxic trait i have. which is why i’m guarded.
everybody does see me as “gentle” & “innocent”. i get that a lot lmao. i tend to surprise people with my music taste 😂.

@@PuroAstrology Thank you😁.... According to the Placidus method, I believe it's called? My Sun is in the first house. However, I personally prefer the Whole Sign method, which has my Sun in the 2nd house...When I very little. I use to be a little out spoken to certain people. And Shy around others. Then I become more shy then I was in my teens. Now I don't really feel Shy. Just introverted. I personally believe I may be something of an empath. There is just certain people who have a particular aura about them that makes me come alive. And others, not so much. I believe my Leo Sun comes out in things I feel proud of about myself. As in who I am, such as my Ancestry. And who I am in Astrology. I liked to think of my Astro birthchart as I type of Celestial genetic makeup. I can also be proud in the things I have learned. Especially things pertaining to Wisdom. And in some ways having discipline...Having both Leo and Scorpio. I can certainly be a little stubborn...By the, I love Scorpio in Venus. I'm stimulated by emotions and intellect. A lot of Aries planets, my Uranus and Neptune are in Aquarius, and Pluto is in Sagittarius.

If I was born 15 minutes earlier I'd be a Gemini rising and the way you explained this showed me that this is nottttt my rising... the older i've gotten the more closed off i've become because i've gotten burned/cheated/betrayed so much the past year, but before that i've always been extremely curious and open to everyone. to a fault. definitely not how you explained cancer rising. i've always felt super similar to the gemini's in my life even though i'm a capricorn, so this is probably why.

I’m cancer rising, Taurus sun, Taurus mercury like Cher! But I have Taurus moon. I resonate with the quote you read about Van Gogh, I need to be in certain moods to want to do certain things. I can’t do certain activities if the mood isn’t right and I get very nostalgic. I didn’t know why I was feeling this way but this video helped me understand. Although when I get in those weird moods I snap myself out of it by telling myself “stop, be here and get to work” 😂 must be my Taurus moon grounding me

@@PuroAstrology Taurus placements certainly feel very strong. I think having both water and earth placements is a nice balance. The emotions that come with water can be calmed down with earthy logic and whenever being too logical just gets boring, you can use the watery emotions to just go with what you’re feeling.

Im a Libra Sun, Scorpio Moon and Cancer rising. And the only thing I have in common with Van is that I also have Piscis in my 9th house But that's it, I have a different Venus, Mars, 6th house and Jupiter. And personally well I woulnt say im all that emotional inside and out. Like my dad was deported when I was 13 and I didn't really feel devastated or sad. I only cried once about it and never again ever since. And it's not because im hiding my feelings, I genuinely didn't feel the need to cry abt it. I only cryed abt it because I saw my mom cry. I've been in situations where my relatives have been serious trouble like a time my brother was arrested and my mom was really sad about it, and In my mind I was just like "he'll be aight" 😂. Also I don't over eat or even drink to cope with problems. When I do have problems i just cope with them doing something relaxing like listening to music or trying to solve other little problems until a solution pops up im my mind for that main problem. I postpone my problems basically. And about family well Im 20 And I do care about having a family of my own but in the future. Not now. I can't understand people that say that they are 60 with no kids and happy. Like they literally just ended their bloodline. I just imagine it would be miserable. I would want my family to become like a lineage that will be recognized after centruys. Even if we are only recognized at a local level.
But anyway, gosh I was begining to be scared that I had the Pisces in the 9th house too. I was like "this girl is telling me im bound to suffer" 😔.

There is! How close are Venus and Saturn? Venus in the 12th house can mean that love nature is rather romantic and "not your average lover" will make you happy. 12th house people can also fall in love with people that they just can't have, for whatever reason--either distance or the person might not be available to them in some other way. Saturn close to Venus will add another layer of restriction there.

Soooo weird, your choice of words- that cancer rising had to know what everyone around them was feeling, be it your “grandmother or grandfather”. Wow. Yeah, I’d say so. My grandmother was an unmedicated, bi-polar (manic-depressive) tornado of chaos. Knowing how she was feeling was very helpful trying to survive that environment... I’m just learning about all of this stuff, and everything about cancer ascendant is dead on in describing me

So what if I’m a Cancer rising but a Leo Moon? I’ve heard Leo in the 1st house takes over as chart ruler.
Leo energy greatly modifies cancer because they’re SO different. (Signs that are next to each other have this effect.) And because it’s your chart ruler, the moon represents YOU in the chart. So yes. This description will be greatly modified. (But also. Having Leo in the second also modifies Leo! Softens the pride. I love 2nd house Leo planets. It’s like… humble . Like. “I know who I am. I don’t even have to brag” energy.)

Hello, Love the explanation. I am sag sun with either a cancer or gemini rising. Not sure because my mom doesnt remember my exact time birth but knows it was late afternoon b4 630 pm and or 430 pm. I find myself gravitating to both ascendant signs. I am not overly emotional and I am a thinker. I am an awesome communicator and I did law for my career. Not anymore though. When I come into a room I would offer you food and I would chat to you to break the ice if I seen you were shy or nervous. I read people without knowing it just happens.
