Diesel Bronco gets New 44” Super Swampers and I Struggle to Mount Them

In this video I got a deal on a set of new Super Swampers, and it was too good to pass up. They’re 18.5/44/16.5 Interco TSLs. As expected, the first 3 went right onto the Trail Worthy Fab beadlocks, but the 4th one fought me the entire way. I tried a few tricks to be able to get the last one to seat, but it ate up so much time that it made me miss a weekend of off roading with the Diesel Bronco. Great deal ! If you had a wider rim it’d really stretch them out. Cracking usually cosmetic on those tires and a typical characteristic Like mentioned earlier you need an air hose on them. There’s definitely a trick to using ether .

Thanks man!! And yeah, there’s definitely a trick, especially with such big tires. I’ve done trailer tires before, but these were a whole different animal.

Yeah definitely those look like they were in a stack for awhile, Which throws in another curve ball. Set the tires out in the sun so they warm up and are super pliable. You need a clip on air chuck, remove the valve core. Next connect your air hose and kink it to stop the air flow. Have a friend fill the tire with ether spray a nice long stripe on the ground then have him light it as soon as you see it exploded let go of your kinked hose. I’d also suggest a 30 gallon or bigger compressor.

I need to get one of those clip on air fillers! I think you’re right that it’d help, just no way I’m standing anywhere close to hold it.

what’s the lift on the bronco to fit these monsters?

It’s a custom lift I did, so I’m not sure exactly, but it has to be about 12 to 15 inches of lift total.
