    Incredible to have an free coaching like that! I'm from Brazil, very very soon on my journey in dog training and I learn a LOT from videos like this. I mean, we're a capable to build a nice foundation with a lot of videos and notion to where and what content we've to consuming but some details we just "fix" with that type of help. Thank you, more energy. Noted.

    This is crazy hearing this guy teach things I've discovered on my own. Guide, repeat, then reward when he gets it right on the 1st try. I love it! Very reassuring hearing a big name say the same thing.

    Love the video with two of best dog trainers on TH-cam. Even though I am currently ahead in my training. However, I enjoy the video and learn a lot of technique as well. Also the video give me confirmation what I been doing all this time is correct.

    I kinda wonder why there's so few comments? I very much enjoy watching trainers work with green dogs and inexperienced handlers! The constructive observations by Robert are priceless. I know I posted a negative comment on the first of this series with Robert, but I see that maybe it's just his interview style! I watched this video and agree with all of the feedback he gave to the students. Tizzy and I still have hurdles to jump! I just keep working with her. Nate, your channel has been very helpful!

    • @NateSchoemer
      @NateSchoemer  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I totally get what you're saying about the comments. It's always interesting to see what resonates with folks. I'm glad you've warmed up to Robert's style and found value in his feedback The journey with Tizzy sounds like it's full of learnings and small victories. Your dedication is exactly what training is all about. Keep at it, and you’ll see those hurdles turning into milestones. Thanks again for the support! :)

      @@NateSchoemer You're 100% right! Dedication to training and working through the tough stuff. I don't give up. If Tizzy doesn't get it right I do more research to see if there's a step I am missing or missed. I remember Robert told a couple people to do something with the "naughty". That's right! Tizzy is super reactive to anyone who comes to my house and to anyone on the street who thinks it's ok to come and pet her. Lucky for them they ask me, if they don't she let's them know she doesn't know them and doesn't want to be approached! Except for one guy who wanted to pet her, but he didn't approach her, he squat down and asked her to come to him, she did and no reaction... This was a total stranger. He definitely had calm energy and knew how to communicate with dogs. What is your take on that? Thank you for all the helpful encouragement! I really appreciate it!! Reactivity is my biggest challenge!

    Hey Nate! I have been following your channel for quite a while, and it's helped me grow incredibly in my journey with my dog training. It's my biggest passion and I intend to breed dogs soon and implement your methods with my showdogs. I was wondering if you could do a video on training primitives. I primarily work with primitive breeds (huskies, akita, shiba inu, etc), and I see a lot of misinformation saying they are stubborn, cannot be trained, and more! However, this is completely untrue, these dogs were bred to be workers and they very much enjoy it as long as their needs are fulfilled both before and after completing a task desired of them. You are a heavily influential dog trainer and content creator, so I was hoping something from you could help sway people's minds out of the 'these dogs are horrible to train' rut. It especially makes me upset to see these myths as a primitive handler (Siberian Husky and a Japanese Akitainu), as my German Shepherd learns at the same speed as them! Some breeds are more willing to work for you, but primitives are willing to work *with* you. Keep up the awesome content, I'll continue supporting for years to come!

    • @NateSchoemer
      @NateSchoemer  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate it. I'll be sure to create videos on primitive breeds as soon as I have some in for training. :)
      Keep up the great work with your dogs, and thanks for the continued support!

    Hi
    Does anyone know what time of day they are training with food ? Does Nate train with food in the morning and evening, and then use a toy reward for mid day training or does he use treats for a mid day training session too ? I’m finding it hard to build a solid daily routine that works

    Hi Thanks for all the work you have been doing and training pet owners to be a good human and leader to their dogs🎉 .
    I have a sheppit and have been trying to train her with your guidance, she is getting it and her obedience is improving in difficult situations. She 50% times chooses to ignore the command if I don't have the right motivation being presented to her. She is 6 months old now.
    If you could also make a video about what to expect from a dog ( w.r.t age) that would be really helpful, I understand it would differ for different dogs but for say for a smart dog?
