As for your second question, I experimented with various scales at first. Eventually, I settled with using a Toyota AE86 (11.7 cm long)as the standard for paper car scaling. If a car's length is longer than the AE86, I make it a bit longer than the AE86 for its papercraft equivalent. If shorter, I make it shorter than the AE86. A website called CompareVisually is useful for comparing car dimensions 👍

The Explorer I make measures 12.9 cm long, 5.1 cm wide, and 4.3 cm tall. I'm sure your dad will love it 👍
