Nice... I'm a huge fan of electric 12's and I've always felt the instrumental possibilities of the instrument have not been properly explored, which is probably why so many of my posts have featured it. This was a great find and the tone and playing were superb. Enjoyed this a lot and a BIG thumbs up to you ! All the BEST. Dan.
this song works SO well for a 12 string... this video's what really inspired me to save up for my own 12 string. i'll definitely have to give this a shot when i get it!
@Halmer62 Thanks! I use Ernie Ball .008-.040 12-string sets on this guitar. I had a .010 gauge set on it at first but even with a truss rod tweak I couldn't get the action as low as I wanted so I had to look for the lightest set I could find.
Interesting to note that Rita Coolidge actually wrote the second half of the song but was NEVER given credit by Jim Gordon (drummer) or Eric Clapton. Lesson: Be careful who you worship...
Truth be known Eric never played the famous opening riff it was Duane Allman of The Allman Brothers. Infact the whole song on lead guitar is played by Duane Allman. Eric was probably either 2nd lead guitar or rhythm guitar.
You're correct, you're not a guitar know it all. A tremolo is not a given with Strats. You can buy a Strat without a trem, and some very famous guitarists have defined their style around a Strat with NO-trem.
GuitarRocks360 I know what you meant and like I said... you're wrong. Not every Strat has a tremolo/whammy bar. If you need proof, look up Jake E Lee. His white 'Charvel' is actually a Fender Strat with a sprayed headstock and a Charvel decal. It has no tremolo.
Nice...

Strong, articulate playing and great use of the Strat XII tone. Nice
Nicely done! I love to hear someone play who actually feels what they're playing. Thanks!
Unbelievable how versatile you are and how good nail each style. In the 60s you would've been a guitar god next to Eric and Jimi :)

Madison square garden 1999 he did. Check it out
I'm not a guitar know it all. but Strats has tremelo bar. why doesn't the 12 string Strat have tremelo? or vibrato?
Tuning stability, I'm guessing.

InvisibleYetVisible what i meant is the whammy bar.
